Tree is up!

i had to buy a new one. couldn't find the tree stand. didn't like that tree anyway. i have really short ceilings so i was afraid to buy a 7 ft one. i did it anyway and luckily it just fits! and my star just sits and leans against the tree; i was afraid i wouldn't even be able to have a topper, lol. this tree is so pretty, much more realistic than that cheapo one from last year. this one was also $100 but oh well.

here's a pic. please ignore my missing molding and base boards. never finished the molding and removed the base boards when we put in the wood. hate this house anyway.

i wonder how long til those glass ornaments are broke? Emma broke one when she was trying to help. i didnt let her help anymore, lol.

i have a tree skirt too, its in the washer.

I have a pre-lit one that I put up tonight, but we're decorating for our first calendar night on the 1st, so right now it looks like the Charlie Brown tree! I only have a few breakable ones and those I'll put up (and put up high!) but my kids are excited to decorate.

we went and cut ours down yesterday and then we decorated it today!!! I'm gonna try and get [ictures tomorrow while both little boys are napping!!!!

Beautiful tree! I think our tree got ruined (water damage in our basement) but hubby still has to check it. If it's ruined I gotta go buy a tree. The kids are asking for a white tree.

This was funny to read because this is EXACTLY like our house!!! Our house is, I'm sure, WAY WAY worse than yours. We hate ours too! LOL!

i don't know....ours is bad. it was a repo we bought for $12,500. (they dropped it from $30,000 :blink the realtor kept trying to talk us out of it but my husband swore he could fix it up and make it look nice. we opted not to have it inspected. wish now i could have convinced DH to do this cause i think if we had found out all that was wrong with it, we wouldn't have bought it. someone added on to it, over the septic tank! its under my bedroom. i don't think thats legal. if the health department got wind of this they'd probably condemn it. it has a crawl space, and the plumbing is horrible. we had a lot of the elecrical fixed for around $2500. we could only afford half of the siding last summer, so its half new tan and half white. it has no gutters. the foundation is drafty. we did put a new roof on it. it has a brand new furnace. we've done a lot to the insides, but DH has a habit of not finishing stuff, as you can see. now he is too depressed and doesn't care. i hope to get a new house when our credit score lets us, but i dont think DH cares anymore. i do, lol. i HATE THIS HOUSE. i don't care that its paid for, i want something i can feel proud of.

oh yah, and its TINY. like 1100 square foot, one story. could be more; we took the garage door off and was going to make it our new bedroom but never have finished it. so it looks like a garage/storage room with windows, lol.
