TRA Sale.....

Brodo gettin her Swerb on
I'm >< THIS close to buying the original TRA action set....... I've never seen the prices this low before. $119 for either action set, and the textures pack.

SO tempted, but I did just buy an iPhone and promised I'd watch my spending......

ohhh.. that is a good price..I've been tempted SO SO many times.. I know lynette uses them and I love her processing.. but I just haven't ever been able to bite the bullet. haha :)

TRA always makes me wish I had PS instead of Elements, sigh... practically all my professional photographer friends use them, they're so AWESOME!

WOOT!!! I just picked up both sets. I have been waiting all year to buy them because I read somewhere this past January that they did a big sale on them for Black Friday. I have never had this much patience in my life and it paid off. My new camera and lens is on the way also and I can't wait to play with all of them.

Yea, I just bought the original set. I couldn't help myself, the price was too good!! If I love them I can get the second next year, lol.

What new camera/lens did you get Amanda??

I got the Canon 50D and then after reading about how much Lynnette likes her Sigma 30mm 1.4 I ordered it also. I have a 50mm 1.8 but find that it is really to tight inside. I have been using a Canon Rebel for about 6 years now and have been looking to upgrade for about a year. I am so excited!!

Nice!! I'm already feeling the pull to upgrade, but I know I can't yet. I have to decide what lens I want next though.

Oh. My. Goodness. Have you got to play with your actions yet Col? I just pulled up an old jpeg and started running it through all the actions and WOW, I am in love. These are the most amazing actions. Worth every penny. I can't wait to see them at work on my RAW files. I am so excited!

You SO should! Yes, they are pricey but they are well worth the money, not only for the effects but for the simple fact that they are some of the best designed actions out there. I absolutely love how all the actions are in their own groups so it's super easy to customize and combine the effects. I think the only bad thing about them is they make me wish I hadn't wasted money on cheaper actions. :D

I'm using them on the DVD of the wedding photo's that we finally got today!! SO fantastic, I'm SO glad I bought them :)

It took me all day to work up the guts to hit the "Pay Now" button...Merry Christmas to me! :) I may be sick...LOL. My in-laws gave me the $$ for these a year and a half ago for my birthday...guess it's about time I picked them up!

I know what you mean Teresa but I don't think you will regret hitting the "pay now" button at all. That is so cool that your in-laws gave you the money for them.

 Ummm...I have both sets. Paid full price over a year ago. Well worth it. But I keep my feelings (and excitement) to myself. It's not something DH and I discuss (nor will we ever). hehe

TRA = Totally Rad Actions, aka some of the best actions in the business. TONS of professionals use them.

I'm absolutely loving them. My wedding photographers did an absolutely amazing job capturing our day, but I like more boosted colors in my final shots. The actions have made it SO EASY to tweak things and just boost some colors and make things a little bit more dramatic, while still retaining the gorgeous original photos.

My tweaks are up in an album on my FB. I had so much fun playing last night, I totally lost track of time and was up 3 hours past my normal bedtime! Lol!

*giggles* Jordan is so far unaware of my purchase. He may never become aware of it, LOL!

How do I find your FB? I have one but I am such a newbie at it that I didn't find my incoming messages for a MONTH!

I just went to the link...this makes me think of LightRoom ... which I was convinced I had to have for these types of things ... which when I bought my new laptop, I never got around to reinstalling ... is it different?

You can just search for Colleen Swerbinsky. My location is in MD, in case several pop up.

These are actions that work in Photoshop. They are similar to LR presets. They are just more specialized actions for photography. LR was developed as a more specialized work-flow tool for photographers. A better way to organize and edit and such. It can do amazing post-processing as well, but lots of photographers still use PS actions to finish tweaking their photos.

I'd LOVE To see some pics. Before and after the actions.

No problem, I'll post a few later this afternoon :) I'm having fun editing more pics right now, so I can post a bunch later.

I was thinking of purchasing TRA2 during their Friday sale. I don't have the first set yet, but I think I like the TRA2 better based on the before/afters I've seen. Anyways, long story short... Liz (Paislee Press) and Doug Boutwell were having a TRA2 set giveaway on Liz's blog... and guess who won it out of over 500 entries? ME! ME! ME!

I can't wait to play with them! Oh and Colleen I want to see your before/afters.
Lynnette - I agree your photos are always fantastic! I didn't know you use TRA though.
