wow just crazy spending this much money!!

I read an article online about the hottest toy this christmas being a little toy hamster called Zhu Zhu pet? It apparently is sold out everywhere and being sold on Ebay for ridiculous prices. I do not know much about it because my kids are older so I looked it up and found this among many other auctions that are just as badly overpriced.

That is more then I spend most years on two possibly all three of my kids combined!! I usually limit christmas to no more then 150 a piece on my kids and that usually buys several gifts. Seems like these things are the kind of toy that will be played with for a few hours maybe days then abandoned because they dont really do anything.
 
yeh that's dumb. lol I was just going to go on a rant about christmas presents. but I won't.. lol

Um I think I want to ask the sellerr a question on that one LOL She has to seriously be joking thinking she will get someone to bid that dang high!! Wow. I remember years ago when the Furby came out and there were actually fights in the stores because they were so limited and then right after christmas they were everywhere!!
 
Thank goodness Luke wants one, but doesn't. He first saw the commercials and said, "Too bad those are for girls." Yep, exactly. :) Whew!
 
Wow, I saw those on sale a month or two ago. Should have bought them. They look kinda silly to me, but all the latest rage toys do.
 
LMBO!!!!! i have a friend who got 3 of them online today at toys r us for their regular price of $8 or whatever. people are soooo freaking weird about what they are willing to pay for stuff.
 
reminds me of the Tickle Me Elmo that was super hard to get back in like 1996. I remember a neighbor ADULT lady bought one for herself for like $300. I was stunned.
 
Remember when Beanie Babies were huge like that, too? I had a ton and the funny thing is, I asked for 2 when they were still just starting out and then everyone kept buying them for me. Somehwere I have a huge box full of them. lol The funny thing is my mom bought me the Princess Diana one and it cost like $50. Whoa, for a little stuffed bear.
 
There are always toys like that! I remember when we were little mom said the moms used to fight in the stores over the Cabbage Patch Dolls. And not to date myself, but that wasn't recently :D
 
I have a bunch sitting in my closet that I bought back in September. Chesney mentioned wanting them and when I saw them at Wal-mart, I bought one of everything they had.

Contemplating unwrapping them and selling them on ebay.... she doesn't even really mention wanting them anymore. I got an entire full set for less than $100.
 
haha my mom got them through the mail somehow...I dont know where she ordered mine and my sisters dolls but we got three and they were all identical. Blonde hair in braids and blue eyes. I think mine was named Colleen or something similar and that was 1983ish?
