Scrapping Inspiration

When the mojo is on "E," where do you turn?

For Layouts -
• I look at my favorites folder to scraplift.
• I go to the Pencil Lines Blog.

For topics:
• I look at the Hodge Podge & DigiDare sites.
• I go to babyloveletters.com.

So where do you go?

I'm like you - I look at my favourites, or use challenge blogs. I find that starting with a template usually helps too.

For challenges, apart from the ones here and the ones you mentioned, I like Scrapping the Music, Scrapping the Music in Norwegian, The Creative Type, Gutter Girlz, Scrapjacked, and probably some more that I can't remember right now:)

I never need anything more than my faves!! what's funny is I usually get stumped trying to make my version of someone else's LO work, so about 20 minutes in I just punt and make it into something completely different. But it works for me!!

I guess I'm weird because I add layouts to my favorites but I very rarely go back to them for inspiration. And if my mojo is completely gone, the last thing I usually want to do is look through a gallery of amazing layouts. :D

The only thing that seems to work for me is to walk away and do something else for a bit. Whether it's for a few days or just an hour or less, it's the only thing that seems to work for me.

I also like to do challenges or browse through the store or my photos for ideas. Usually something will spark an idea that will work. I'd like to start keeping a list of ideas though because I tend to forget the ideas I had when it comes time to actually scrap.

This is exactly how I am!!! If I try to force it, it stays away longer. So, if I just stop & walk away, it's much better! lol

I look at my photos... that gives me inspiration when the mojo is MIA... however, then I realize how very behind I am. :D So, I usually grab a template and go to work... then if I just can't take it anymore, I'll step away from the PC and thumb magazines... scrapbooking, home decorating, parenting, etc... subject doesn't really matter.

i have started a notebook full of scrapping subjects.

this for me too ... think Col started me off on this with a project in a tin that morphed into a little spiral book because my hybrid skillz are not that hot, but I still have the tin for my son's funny phrases...

for inspiration, Kathryn Wilson's blog is amazing for visual yummies, and also Audrey Neal's - a kitchen sink of good stuff...

Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, C&B catalogs, BHG mag also do in a pinch ;)
