More than annoyed with Children's Place

Has anyone received an email after ordering from Children's Place saying their order was canceled? I shopped their sale because my daughter desperately needed new clothes... I ordered 5 shirts, a skirt, and a pair of pants on Saturday. Today I got an email stating my order was canceled... and with no reason as to why... it was simply to assure me that the hold on my credit card would be released soon. :confused: I emailed them back asking why, but am still waiting for a response. I'm really not happy because I got some good deals and I like their clothes (I've only shopped in their store, but I live 2 hours away from their store now).

That's a huge bummer! I've had that happen on clearance stuff once a long time ago, but not recently. I placed an order on Saturday for their holiday dressy collection with two shorts from their clearance, so hopefully mine goes through!

I ordered clearance stuff too (mostly) and I checked their website and everything I ordered is still in stock so I see no reason why my order would've been canceled. :(

I'm also annoyed because I used my Paypal Debit Card... and it takes 30 days for a pending transaction to clear on its own... 30 days is a long time to wait for my money back on product I'll never receive.
 
OMG.. :eek: 30 DAYS???!! :cursing: That is RIDICULOUS.. I would be more then irritated.. I'm sorry.. :( Crazy 8 tends to have good online sales, and I've never had an issue with them cancelling my order...

You can call paypal once TCP has released the hold and have them release the hold too, I've had that happen with gas orders before.

I hope they really do actually release the hold, because once I had Proactiv bill me twice and they told me they released the hold on the second charge and never did (I called them 6 times and no one would help me)... I had to wait 30 days. So, I hope TCP doesn't do that. lol
 
That's weird that it was canceled eventhough the stuff is still in stock! When mine was canceled it was because the stuff wasn't in stock, eventhough it let me put it in my cart. Good luck!
 
I haven't had it happen at Children's Place... but I've had that some thing happen at Lands End... even though it shows in stock, depending who's order hits the warehouse first... very annoying!

Thanks for mentioning Crazy8... I stopped by and snagged some REALLY cute clothes from them!! They were a little more pricey than the stuff I was getting at TCP, but it was CUTER and I found a $10 off $30 coupon so it made the prices just about even!! :thumbup:

I love crazy8 they are a decent quality lower end sister store to Gymboree
 
That's crazy! I never had that happen but I never ordered from their website. We have a store less than 5 minutes away from us. :( I'd be sooo mad though!
 
I order from them all the time, and I've never had an order cancelled. It is one of my favorite places to shop. Sometimes with the clearance stuff they will run out, and I will have an item or two cancelled because they don't have any more. When they have the good clearance sales, things go really fast there. It might still show the items in stock, but if you try to add it to your cart it won't let you. Sometimes it takes a bit for them to update.
 
I would love to hear what they say to you. We order all the time. In my experience, just because when you order and it says it's in stock, it's not. That is one peeve at CP. We can order and the next thing you know is it was "Short Shipped" because something was out. However, they've always sent an email saying stuff was out. I think their quality has gone down too. I do like Crazy 8's stuff but they are pricey but better quality! Good luck.
 
Wow, I'd never heard of Crazy8 before!! thanks for the tip girls!! I already have a cart full of stuff (that I can't buy)...going to have to narrow it down a bit, LOL!
 
yeah their mailing list is fab..and sometimes they do bucks where you spend $50 and get 20, etc..not sure the exact #'s but it works like gymbucks @ gymboree
 
I love Crazy8 too, they have some adorable lil boy clothes! And they always have awesome sales & discount codes!
 
if you like Crazy 8 and Gymboree, see if there is a Gymboree Outlet near you. If you have an outlet mall nearby you it is pretty likely that they have a Gymboree Outlet.
 
I usually love TCP. I'm sorry they cancelled your order :( They probably ran out of the items even though they said it was in stock. I hope you get it all cleared up quickly!
 
Yeah, so I never heard back from them... and I emailed them 4 days ago. :glare: Oh well, went to Crazy 8 and I'm still waiting on my money to be released from the hold they put on it.
