So in an effort to get anything I want for the rest of my life, LOL, I bought my husband and teenage son tickets to the Monday Night Football game that is on TONIGHT. :) Vikings vs. Packers! So they flew in on Saturday to Minnesota and have been hanging with some Vikings all weekend. I'll be sure to post more pics from the game tomorrow when the guys fly home.

Bwahahahaha! No, that isn't really my husband! (And what is up with that guy wearing a towel as a shirt?!) But they saw these guys at the Mall of America when they were hanging out to meet some Viking players :)

He is handing his football to Randall McDaniel (in his new Hall of Fame jacket!) Tom also got the signatures of a few other players. When he called me last night to tell me about it, his voice was SO excited! He was like a little kid! :wub:

So if you happen to be watching the game tonight, look about 20 rows up on the 40 yard line behind the Vikings' bench. They have aisle seats, but I'm not sure which 40 yard line it will be. My husband and son will be there! My DH will be wearing his #28 Peterson jersey and Jacob will be wearing a #80 Moss jersey, unless they can find the elusive #4 jersey!

And you Packers fans, please don't heckle me too hard. :)

Julie... I won't hold it against you that you happen to be a Viking fan... I use to be one too... but then I dumped my then boyfriend (7 years ago).... and now surrounded by Packer fever... ha, ha!!

Even though I hope that Brett gets sacked like 25 times tonight I will say that you win the wife of the year award. I would LOVE to be at that game and I hope you DH and son have the best time.

Wow! How awesome for them!

My dh is dying to go to a Cowboys game in the new stadium. I'd probably be wife of the year if I could make that happen too. lol

My husband just called and he is nearly hysterical with excitement! It is SO LOUD right now I can't imagine how it will get to be later! LOL
 
it's a good game. :) it looks crazy there. how fun!!!
i was discussing football & explaining it to my 4 y.o.
my daughter wore purple and yellow for packer spirit day today. :) we're not packer fans - but the only way to get out of the uniform was to wear packers colors. no note home - so we were cool. :)

For real, SOOOOOOO JEALOUS you splurged and got those tix for your DH and son! We wanted to go soooo bad especially sinces its a Monday Night game, and even more since its against Green Bay w/ Favre wearing purple! Those tickets were SPENDY! You really do deserve anything you want for the rest of your life!!

The Vikes are totally going to Superbowl this year :)

I got SO SO lucky! I actually bought the tix back in May off Stubhub from a season ticket holder that wasn't going to that game. Because it was in May (way before Brett Favre signed with them) the tickets weren't that bad at all. The day after he signed, I checked ebay and stubhub and the tickets were easily double what I paid for them. I got lucky! Plus we had 2 free roundtrip air ticket credits, so it wasn't bad at all!

I hope so! However my husband always says he'll die and go to heaven if the Vikings ever win the Superbowl, so I'm gonna have to ask for a medic to watch the game with us. LOL

I was looking for him, Julie, but never did see him :D However, I did see a friend of the family several times last night. My dh has a good friend who is the medical director for the Packers. Yep, ol' Pepper was on the field a few times last night. LOL!

Looks like your guys had a great time!
