OMGosh I thought since my kids were older I was safe from them trying to cut their hair!! My son who turned twelve like two months ago decided to take a razor and he shaved a strip of hair off his head!!! I mean completely and totally bald!! What the heck was he thinking? He had asked me earlier to cut his hair which I would have but I just cut it like a month ago and it was cut really short the last time I cut it so it was just started to grow out a little and did not need to be cut right now. Wellll to make a long story short I had to take a razor and shave him completely BALD!! The strip was to big and his hair was to short to try to comb it over it. When I asked him why he said he wanted his hair cut short again. Ughhhh!! So frustrating!! Well needless to say Im not super happy with him.

oh then he asks me if I can leave a little hair? (meaning like a buzz cut)...ummm no you shaved it down to the scalp kid sorry nothing I can do but finish the job!! I could not even blend it in. He looked like one of the three stooges when he came out of the bathroom!! I took one look at him and was like "what the heck did you do?!?!?!" I mean he is to old for me to sit and watch him in the bathtub now but he should also be old enough to know a razor is sharp and he should not touch them!!

So far, Chloe, my oldest wacked her hair when she was 4. i had to go get it cut in a pixie cut but there were still very short spots. then Emma cut her hair right below her ear in a few spots a couple months ago. so we got it cut short all around to match. then she took the scissors to Aidan's hair last month. not a big deal since he's a boy so i just gave him a buzz cut. then a few days ago, Chloe cut Emma's bangs plus a little bit on top of her hair really really short, like not even half an inch, so i've been try to comb her hair over it or put a hat on her, lol. i'm VERY ticked off about that. her hair was starting to grow out! i have almost thrown out all my scissors. i put them up and they find them! i'll have to get a lockbox i think. so i feel your pain!!

My daughter hacked her bangs off because they were in her eyes:mad: Oh boy was she in trouble! She looked awful! All I can say is thank goodness it was summer and we didn't have to deal with things like school pictures :p

Grrr!! we were wanting to get family pics done this year too! Emma will just have to wear a hat, lol!!

you can see in the middle where he cut it a little more then I did. I used shears with no gaurd. He used an actual razor

oh Jessica :( You'd think you could rest easy and not worry about that stuff! LOL

When Jacob was like 10, he took some fingernail clippers and cut his bangs and around his ears. I went into the bathroom and there were a million little bits of hairs everywhere. I could not figure out how that had happened and it took a while to get the story out of Jacob. He had done a pretty good job thankfully... he had cut off around an inch with fingernail clippers... LOL. His response to my being upset he did that: "I didn't use the scissors... and you never said I couldn't use fingernail clippers to cut my hair." What is up with kids?! LOL

yea I guess I should but Ive kinda come to expect him to do stuff that you wouldnt expect. It is like he gets bored and he starts thinking of what he could do and its usually not a good thing. So instead of playing a game or reading or something else he does stuff like this. So just means one more thing I need to check for when I start the bath for him. I have to be careful about leaving shampoo, conditioner, bath soap or bubble bath in the bathroom when he takes a bath because he wastes them

LOL... my son wouldn't even USE them, let alone waste them. When Jacob was around 12 (what is with that 10-13 year old range!?) I went nuts when I had to use my son's shampoo one day and found it was full of water. Water!! I asked him about it and found he hadn't used shampoo in weeks. He thought he'd just fill it with water and squirt that on his head instead. He didn't want to ask for some shampoo. Boys are weird. LOL Thank goodness he has outgrown that now. And now we laugh about that stuff. :)

he likes to dump shampoo and soap in the tub to make bubbles. conditioner he just uses way to much of it and he doesnt really need it. Im not sure why he does this stuff other then I just think he gets bored, gets an idea and has very little impulse control. I just keep hoping he will outgrow it LOL. I mean he has gotten better as he has gotten older but still some of the stuff he will do I would expect from maybe a five or six year old not a twelve year old. I know one day we will laugh about it. Heck its far from the worst thing he ever did. He once woke up before the rest of us and went into the kitchen to make us breakfast. He dumped pancake mix, crisco, ketchup, mustard, maple syrup, eggs, etc etc onto the floor (because apparently that is how you make breakfast??) and started mixing it all up with his hands. Im not sure why that I even woke up. I think I heard him or something and came into the kitchen and at this point he had "painted" my cabinets and kitchen floor with his "breakfast" LOL Oh it was all in his hair and all over his body also. I seriously cried that day because I thought Id never get the mess cleaned up!! It was sooo nasty. Gosh that was about 8 or 9 years ago now!! Kinda funny thinking about it now but man I sure didnt think it was at the time!!

I was probably close to that age when I tried to cut my bangs LOL. I didn't know about the whole wet hair shrinking when it dries and kept trying to get a straight line LOL.
