So halloween isnt so far away and I was browsing online and came across this costume. Thought it was just to cute.

witch costume

So what are your kids (or you) going to be for halloween. I probably wont be going out this year trick-or-treating cause my kids all seem to be to old for it :(

Once Upon a Child just put their Halloween costumes out this morning, and I picked this up for Rachel...

It's a bit too large...she's standing on a little stool...but that's alright...I'm thinking this will be mostly for photos and dress-up play.

My mom is planning on making a pirate costume for Rachel anyway, so it'll probably be what she wears for the fall festivals/carnivals. This is the pattern she is using...

I also got these at OUAC! Naomi's was brand new in the package, Parker's was not but is from BRU from last year. I can't believe I'm making him be a kangaroo. With a baby in his pouch. He's going to go mad trying to figure out how to get it out of his pouch.

jilly is going as a jaguar. i have a fleece printed top and bottom from kiohls. all i need are ears & a tail for her. evie wants to be a dinosaur. i am going to get her a sweat suit and sew a tail on, some spikes and a belly. might do a knit hat with more spikes. :)

my son was a dinosaur when he was like two or three? I used one of those fleece pjs with a zipper and feet. I sewed a tail on and purple spikes down the back and made a tummy that was sewn on one side with velcro to hold it on the other side. Of course this was way before digital cameras so I have no pictures on my computer. Probably have some somewhere but I havent scanned them in

Go Steph very creative of you ;)
I saw an Octopus w/long socks stuffed and this felt like thingy on the bottom of it, so cute! Trying to convince Cely to be one, :p

Nicholas is going to be Batman. His favorite jammies are his Batman jammies and he askes to wear them every night. So I figured he can wear them with this super cute cape I ordered from etsy:

Lydia is going to be a ladybug because we call her our little ladybug. (She's 2 months old now) The costume has the cutest little red & black striped tights!!!

Gunner's going to be a robot because he's sooo into robots now. He wanted to be a dinosaur because he loves them too, but he was one last year. So, we're helping him make his own robot costume because he's big on crafts now too. I can't wait!

Well I'm trying to push L.J. towards the Woody costume since he was Buzz Lightyear last year....but sadly I think he wants to be a Power Ranger...ugh, he's growing up too fast.

I am hoping to get one more cutesy year out of him.

But...we are going to the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney in 2 weeks and we are dressing up my 2 nephews and L.J. as Alvin and the Chipmunks. They all fit the parts so well personality-wise so it's perfect and will be easy to walk around Disney in. We got them each the right color shirts and we're putting the names on the back, putting a big yellow A on Alvin's, putting a pocket that says Snacks on Theodore's (my son), and Simon will be wearing Harry Potter glasses. I think it will be soooo cute!

Derrick wants to be a GI Joe.... again.....

I bought Rhett an ADORABLE turtle costume at Costco but it's way too small for him so I'm taking it back. I'll either buy the dinosaur costume they have or I'll go find him a Yoda costume. :)

jessica's only request is that it be PINK (of course) (although i think she's be adorable as Dorothy)

and then the boys go between wanting something Star Wars or being Mario & Luigi!

why are all the stinkin boy costumes violent or uber scary as they get older?!

Avery has reached the age where he won't let me pick his for him lol..so he wants to be Wall-E which is really okay with me b/c he is obsessed with Wall-E right now...

and I'm pretty sure this is going to be Ella's...

Jason is still deciding whether to be a robot or SuperJason (his own superhero alterego). Either way, we'll probably have to make his costume. Ben will either be a cat, a dog, or whatever Jason is (much to Jason's dismay, I'm sure). I haven't decided what Lauren is going as, but it will be adorable and uber-girly since she has no opinion yet.

i think i am going to hit the Here We Grow Again tomorrow and see if they have them out. i figure the earlier i go the better chance i have at snagging the best ones. i found a cute dinosaur costume at Kmart for Aidan that was $20. Emma found one she liked for $20. i assume Chloe's would be the same price....thats way too much $$ to spend so hopefully i'll find some cheap ones or do it myself like usual, lol!

Such cute costumes!! These are the costumes I'm making...

Pretty sure we're doing poodle skirts with saddle shoes for the girls and Andy is going to be a greaser.

so far lily will be dorothy and lucas will be a lion.. just not sure yet for lucas cause he doesn't really like hats so we might have to rethink that costume. haha :)

i saw some of those wizard of oz costumes and they are cute! my girls would fight over who got to be Dorothy, lol.

Ava is going be a chef, I got the hat for $5, so I figure I will put a long white sleave shirt on her, she has an apron, and then sew a whisk or wooden spoon on to the wrist of the sleave. And I got this cute pea pod costume for Lilly...so Ava will be the chef and Lilly the food! LOL

OMGosh Tracy that will be sooooo cute!! Hope you take lots of pictures. Id love to see that:)

So I've been REALLY busy with work, but I haven't even thought about Halloween yet. (Bad mama!) My daughter had picked out two costumes last year at the Disney outlet- she didn't wear the sleeping beauty one- and she's such a petitie thing she could probably wear it this year if she wanted. She was THE CUTEST Alice in wonderland last year.

My son was Peter Pan last year (thinking Marley would be tinkerbell which she then decided she didn't want to be). But now that he's 6, I'm sure this year's costume will be some sort of superhero.

First, I'll worry about her birthday at the end of this month- once I get that planned we'll look at costumes. Love seeing what y'all are wearing!

Tristan will Diego (to his cousin Naomi's Dora :P). They are so obsessed with those shows so it will be perfect.

Gabriel is going to be a cow b/c he can't protest and he drinks milk like crazy!

Julian is going to be a little monster. The blue one they had at BRU last year. I loved that costume so much but they were out of his size so he was a skunk. I'm so glad to have found it at OUAC this year :D!

I only have one that will dress up this year. *tear*

She wants to be Dobby, from Harry Potter.

Yup, that will make for some adorable Halloween photos. I bought her the mask, and we'll get her a toga of some sort and a tube sock.

Actually, I'm going to make her a black/hot pink/pink tutu, she has black/white tights and I'll make a big old tulle bow for her hair. She'll be a rock star.

At least for my photo shoot.

This is what the twins want but not for $55.00

so we will come up with something less expensive like this:

We did Pokemons last year, Benjamin was Ash, the Pokemon trainer, the girls were Pikachu and Mudkip.

This year, we're doing Super Mario, Princess Peach and Toad!

i went to the used childrens store and found our costumes!

I got Aidan this one! its an Old Navy one, so brand new it was probably $30 -$40. i got it for $15. he is SO stinking cute in it

Emma got a purple pegasus costume. its got a mane and a tail and wings. its cute, though its a tad bit too small, lol. the legs and arms ride up on it but i don't think she cares, lol. its not too bad. it was $8.99

Chloe found a long black and pink gown and she wants to be a vampire. i'll get her some teeth, maybe a black wig, and some makeup and fake blood. she's taking after her mama with the vampire love :D.

CUTE costumes everyone! :)

My son Walker is going to be a cowboy. My mom bought real cowboy boots when I was pregnant (yea, she's crazy lol) and they now fit him, so I figured I would get some use out of them :)

I realized that everyone who knows his name will probably think we are dressing him as Walker Texas Ranger lol. Oh well.

JJ wants to be Spiderman and Abby wants to be a princess so they probably won't match this year. I wanted one more matchy year. Sigh.

it's not definite yet, but probably a pirate. they have one at old navy and their costumes aren't too expensive. i almost ordered it online, but he really needs to go try it on... or at least try the hat on. he has a boys sz medium head on a 4T/5T body. :D so i need to see how adjustable the hat is. if it doesn't work then i dunno.
