FYI How to shoot pics of fireworks

Thanks SO MUCH for posting this!!! I tried to get photos last night and they were just blobs of light in the sky... on the upside, the car lights driving by gave a really cool photo... ;)

yah a tripod seriously helps..the shutter has to stay open so long to get the fireworks shot, even the steadiest hand will have shake

Just don't forget to focus your camera like I did - all of mine are blurry.... and I used a tripod...

I'm going to give it a try tonight. There are still things I'm trying to figure out on my camera, and I usually set it on something instead of bringing a tripod...there just isn't room and you get kids running by, so I look for a railing to hold it on, or I even used my knee once!

Hopefully I'll get a few good ones!

Ummm.... yeah.... don't try to hold a baby and take pics at the same time, either. LOL. I have no idea if mine turned out or not.

Well, I had no tripod and I drive a mini-van, so I couldn't set it on that and the streetlights were in between us and the fireworks, but I shot on landscape and I really think that helped. I guess I will find out when I upload tomorrow. Thanks for the article.
