A scary thought

Just a Scrapper
Yesterday, I took the boys to McD's before we headed out for haircuts, etc. It was a half-day for the ISD here, so McD's was full of teenagers. We went to go fill up our drinks, and a small herd of 14/15yo's girls ran up and started jibbering and being all teenage-girl goofy and making a small nuisance of themselves.

Connor got this look on his face (his know-it-all look) that then turned red, shook his head and walked away. I asked him what he was thinking, and he said, "I know when I'm 15, I'll be all over that, but right now, they're just silly".

I'm SOOOOOOO not ready for the 'all over that phase'. (he's 9)

AHHHH! Lock him away and don't let him grow up!!!

I have a 17 year old that drives me insane! LOL and to think I get to go through this all again TWICE....we have the two little ones too!!

Sounds like a smart boy already to me.

I just found out this morning that my 3 yr old has a girlfriend. His teacher says they are separated at the hip every day that he's at school. Sad thing is that he is moving up to the 4's room on Monday and she's not. Young lovers torn apart already. LOL

Does it help if f I say that I'm SO not ready to see my cute little miss being "jibbering and being all teenage-girl goofy"?
xo

I'm not ready for teenagers, period. My boy is already showing attitude, and he's only 8...ack.

Darcy, he's never been one of those that thinks girls are gross either, he likes them just fine. LOL

Awwwww.....so sweet! My favorite part about that is that he was able to say that to you...and have you not freak out! I love that I can still have conversations like that with my boys....keeping those lines of communication open! Not that I always like what I hear, mind you....but just knowing a bit of what is going on in their minds is good!!

First, that story is way too cute! Love it. But I agree, I am not ready to ever have teenagers. Mine is only 2.5, so I have a long ways to go, but jeez.

Wow really "all over that?" Where do these kids hear those terms especially at 9!!!! I have a 13 year old and he is so embarassed if you even say Girl Friend to him. So funny how all kids are different.

I'm there now Darcy!! We were in the grocery store and my 16 year old son said, "Mom, check out that hot babe over there." Ugh!
