I finally heard Adam today

So I picked up Adam on the radio on my way to work

Omg he was amazing. I guess he was singing aerosmith. Loved it more than the original

All i have to say is wow!!!!!
 
I'm of the nails on chalkboard group. I just don't understand why he can't sustain a high note without that gawd awful cat screeching! :p
It was just too much. Kris did a lot better job.

Danny's my pick but if he doesn't get it, I'm rooting for Kris.
 
I'm on the hate side too. When he sings...he's brilliant. The screeching I can DEFINITELY do without.

Is anyone else just not so impressed with this season?

Its so weird you say that, Laura. Because I was just thinking last night that I am TOTALLY blown away by this season's contestants! I think this has been one of the most talented seasons yet, imo.
 
Eh, I was just IM'ing with Amy and we were talking about this years talent compared to last years.
We both thought last year had a ton more talent.
 
I love Adam, his uniqueness! I could do without *some* of the screeching, but some of it is appropriate LOL

I haven't enjoyed this season like lasts either. I just loved David Cook that much LOL!

At the beginning of the season I really thought they were ALL so talented...as the season has worn on, I've just gotten bored. Maybe I'm just nucking futs! LOL

I just heard the aerosmith song so it seemed fit. Now i have no idea about any other songs. I thought it was great the guy who sung heartbreak too. Bard one to sing too.

Seems like the finally 3 arent bad tho
 
Even when he just sings I don't like him...he's too just theatric I guess, which I'm sure comes from his being in the theater, but he's just so not rocker to me...

This year has really been SO BORING...I mean, I've watched it b/c you know, it's there, but no one has had me jumping out of my seat like David C did last year. I've said this before, but I swear it's like the judges are in some twilight zone realm b/c they keep talking about the amazing talent of this year's group and I just haven't seen it..some have been okay... I like Kris and Danny and I liked Matt, but I've never been just dying to see anyone like when David C or Chris Daughtry would be on kwim? and the adam craze just totally baffles me lol

here's hoping next year they get us some better talent :)
 
I actually think the overall talent for this year has been pretty high, especially for the final 4. I think all of them had the talent to be in the finals and I can't think of another season that I've thought that.

The only thing I've been disappointed in this year is the judges. I think they came in with a pretty clear agenda to have Danny and Adam as their final 2 and it definitely seemed like they catered their opinions to match that. There were a lot more times this season where I really wondered if we'd even listened to the same performance based on their comments. I get having a favorite but declaring someone the winner in week 1 is just ridiculous. :thumbdown:
 
ITA about the judges Lynette!!!!!! I have said that to my hubby all season. It really sucked that they were so obvious about doing that I think. :(

Yes I totally agree about the judges too...they picked their faves and that was that.
 
I didn't think that Aerosmith performance was good at all. *duck*

(That crappy loud backup singer didn't help, either. lol)

I am with you! Plus, I hate the way his tongue is always just about to flop on his chin. And I hate the thought of turning on my radio and hearing him. I understand that he has a stage presence that appeals to people. But you can't HEAR stage presence. His voice is, at best, ok.
 
I agree about the judges, too. That's actually one of the things that boosts Kris for me (besides his talent and cutiepieness)--he wasn't on the radar at all really. We all knew Danny and Adam were going to make it this far, but Kris has really worked his way up.

I also think that there is more talent in the top tier of contestants than in most (if any other) seasons. They are all so differently talented though, with Adam and Kris bringing more than just vocal talent to the mix. I think that's why they place higher than Danny for me...he can sing but not much else.

Even if Kris's Apologize performance was a little weak last night, I was still totally impressed that he could play piano, too. I hope he books really small venues when he tours...the whole intimate music experience with him would be rockin'.

Adam would defintely give you your money's worth at a concert...he totally eats up the performance side of things. I know we can expect fun dance numbers and costume changes. He's like a cross between Steven Tyler and the dudes from Erasure. He'll put on a good show for sure.
