I *heart* Mpix.

I ordered photos for Mother's Day gifts yesterday at noon and they just showed up on my doorstep. I did upgrade to FedEx shipping but that is still fast!

And the pictures are wonderful!

I like printing layouts there also. The metallic paper is gorgeous and I use that for layouts that are special to me or on the ones I frame.

Yes..they are my one and only place to print layouts. SUPER fast shipping and perfect prints every time...I've not tried the metallic paper but it's good to know it's great! :)

How are they are $$? As far as printing 12x12s?

They are on the high side. But I just use them for layouts that are going to be displayed or that I want to have the extra depth the metallic gives them.

Prices for prints is pretty good. It is a pro print lab so the quality is great.

Here is what I had printed:

They are not great photos but I know two grandmas that will love them!

I print at 8x8 so the price is pretty good I think..they are 1.99 per print but if you order 10 or more they're 1.69 per print. I've tried several different online places over the years and nothing comes close to mpix as far as quality/professionalism/shipping.

That's not a bad price for a 8x8 high quality print. Thanks for the info.

And those pics are fabulous! What are you talking "they are not great photos"? I think they are wonderful!

Thank you Cheryl! I do love the pictures. I have done better before and know that they are not technically great. And I am my worst critic.

Dang....I just ordered some large prints and whatnot from Scrapbookpictures.com. I have always had good experiences with them. I forgot about Mpix....I need to try them. Can you explain to me the difference between regular paper and metallic? I wasn't sure and was afraid to try it.

Susan

Here is info about their paper:
http://mpix.com/Papers.aspx

The first time I just did the metallic on one layout. The difference was huge! It make the layout/photo seem glossy but without adding the glare that a normal gloss finish gives. The paper is also thicker than the normal photo paper.

A friend of mine is a professional photographer and graphic artist, and Mpix is the only place he'll use! I haven't tried them yet, although a friend of mine used them for her photos from Europe...the ones that came out really well, and she used the metallic paper. She said they were amazing!
