Dude - why did you tell me about this chick before?!

LOLOL I know..I know..you have :) But why didn't I listen?

I picked up Tenth Circle by Jodi Piccoult yesterday at the library to listen to in the mornings on my MP3 player while I work before the boys get up. Dang..she's really good! I love her imagery!

Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors. Such a deep story line that really makes you think. Sometimes as a stay at home mom, I really need to use my brain...and she definitely makes me do that.

Jodi Picoult is my all-time favorite author. And my opinion is that The Tenth Circle is not even close to being her best work. Its my least favorite of all the books. You have to read My Sister's Keeper (the best one, imo), The Pact, and Nineteen Minutes. I just started her newest one, Change of Heart, and it seems to be just as good as the others.

i love her too...19 minutes and My Sister's Keeper are fabulous...I also really liked Vanishing Acts. I'm reading Salem Falls now and it is a little slow going for me....I wanna read The Pact next!!

LOVE Jodi Picoult! I've read most of her books, all except 2 or 3, I think. My Sister's Keeper, and Nineteen Minutes I think were my faves, but they're ALL so good!

Handle With Care is amazing! 19 Minutes was good but distrubing. I had a hard time with that one.

I struggled with it to. With my emotional ties to the Columbine tragedy, I went into Nineteen Minutes knowing it would be a tough read.

 Nineteen Minutes, My Sister's Keeper and Plan Truth. I've paused reading Second Glance right now because I'm reading Outlander.

I'm looking for some good audio books and would love to try her stories. Is there a recommended reading order? What should I try first?

Julie, they are all stand-alone books so you can read whichever ones interest you. Honestly, every one that I've read so far is really good.

19 minutes is my all time fav. Second Glance is Jodi's Favorite book. I love her & her books. If you can, go and see her talk. It is so worth the money and the time.

I can't wait until her next book comes out and the book after that - both sound to be GREAT books!!

Handle with Care was very upsetting to me. It still is. Maybe cause I have 2 girls & this hits home? I don't know....

I am now reading Vanishing Acts and had a hard time getting into it, but like it and find it hard to put down. :)

while they are stand-alone books she does have several repeated characters throughout the stories. Like the lawyer in Nineteen Minutes he has been in at least two maybe three stories. I dont think it really matters which you read first though...

Oh, really...I never noticed that. But then again, I have to give myself a bit of time between her books...like several months, because they're just SO emotionally involving, lol.

I know what you mean!! They really are emotional!! I just noticed it in Nineteen Minutes because of the description of one of the characters and I was like wait a minute I remember that name!! Had to go back and look but sure enough they are repeated. Now I cannot rememebr the book they were also in because I sold all my books on ebay LOL

I know nothing about her... is that terrible? That said I'm into true crime novels (except for this brief stint on vampires thanks to you girls) so maybe I'll take another recommendation and check her out too!
