Is CHAT working for anyone!?!

I'm having major issues with chat. Its basically giving me a 404 error and its pissing me off!!!!!!!!

So, can ya'll check and see if you can get into chat? Shannon checked for me, but she was the only one in there. Maybe she's just special and we're all hosed? I don't know, but if I can't participate in the chats tomorrow I'm gonna cry! :(

Also, could someone who *hasn't* installed the activex control try it? If it prompts you to "install" were you able to?
 
i just tried and it worked fine. dunno about the activex thing, didn't ask me about it.

damnit. thanks for checking Linz. I don't know whats up, but all three of our computers are giving us the same problem and we've tried EVERYTHING. :cursing:
 
Jenny, it's been in and out all night. It took me nearly 30 minutes of reloading the page to get in earlier tonight.
 
Here's the problem.... its not like I can't get "in" to the chat. Its that my computer is trying to load a page that its saying doesn't exist. When ActiveX tries to install, its not finding the install page. Ya'll can get in because you've already installed the ActiveX control so its now on your computer. But since I haven't ever installed it before, it seems its no longer active.

*sigh*

P.S. my sweet hubby is sitting here next to me trying feverishly to get this to work. :)
 
Make sure you have the latest version of Java installed. ActiveX could be trying to download and install that. I can get in no problem. I am going to move it to the community server tho and post a link in just a sec, in case the 404 is due to the frame page being hosted on SSD.com - the chat room is on another server altogether :)
