Question for you Twitter tweeters...

So I've had Twitter for 2 years now, but I've never really done anything with it. I went for like a month where I updated semi regularly, but that's about it. So this week, I started following some people and added the app to my phone. It's sorta fun to read the celeb updates and stuff.

Anyway my question....

On my phone, I have the option to "reply" or "retweet" to someone else's update. What's the difference? And if I reply (using the @username thing, right?) does my response show up in their feed even if they dont' follow me?

I'm such a noob.
 
If you reply and one of your friends is friends with that person, they can see it too. Did that make any sense?? If you "retweet" it posts the original tweet so everyone can see it.
 
LOL I don't think you're stupid...I totally had to ask the same questions! You can put text in front of it if you want...I think LOL
 
No problem! I only know bc I follor Ashton Kutcher and he retweets stuff ALL THE TIME!

I have my twitter paired with my FB account so my tweets are my facebook status...pretty cool. Although, people think I'm on FB all the time bc my status changes so much LOL
 
Ha! I'm not sure that I want to link it to my FB... of course, I'll probably blow this off again in a few days, and it'll be a moot point. LOL

OK, so reading on the Twitter site (when all else fails, read the instructions), it seems that an @reply is something that people can control whether or not they see those. The default setting is that you only see @replies if you follow both parties. A retweet is posted for everyone who follows you to see even if they have opted out of receiving @replies.

Ooooh how do you do this?? I think I would like to do that. I don't update twitter like I used to because of facebook. LOL
 
I just want someone to try and say "retweet" 3 times!!! :p

and yes this is very confusing since I don't twitter, I have an account, but FB has me sucked in right now, is this like replying versus forwarding in email?

It was fun though! You gotta admit! :p

If you go on Facebook there's a Twitter application. You just let the application access your Facebook account and it's all set. I normally only visit FB if I get an email about a response or to play Mafia Wars. :p
 
I have my Twitter set to display both Twitter & FB, and I also have the Twitter app on FB. hehehe I am hopeless though.

Boutique Set?

Does anyone know what happened to the Boutique Set that was released last weekend? I went to get it today and it was gone. :(
