So remember my hubby lent my EHD to a friend? *Update #13!*

It's broken. It flashes and doesn't register to any computer. I'm so freaked out right now.

Pray that we can recover somehow!?!?

Are you trying to autoplay it? Because if you go into my computer and open it there.....

Nothing would work. And you wanna know what his buddy did when Joel told him about it? LAUGHED. MADE A FREAKIN' JOKE about it! He's lucky he doesn't live close.

Joel is going to get something at the store to try to fix it with that... I'm so clueless when it comes to this stuff.

Oh, and to top it off, PSE has decided to shut down every time I try to open something in it.

Seriously? :cursing: I'd be sending said "friend" a bill for your ehd and all your scrap stuff. That is not cool. :cursing:
 
Oh no Kristin, that sucks! I think my hubby & the "friend" would be so dead right about now, and the so called friend would no longer be a friend and would be getting a bill for the recovery services! There are places that can try to recover your data for you but they are super expensive though. {{{hugs}}
 
I'm thinking it'd be worth it. Joel is going to take it in tomorrow if he can't figure it out.

I told Joel that not only am I not going to lend things out for awhile, he isn't going to be lending ANYTHING of mine out anymore. Ever.

Yeah I think Joel is going to learn his lesson the hard (and expensive) way that loaning out your wife's stuff is always a very bad idea!! I'll be crossing my fingers that you can recover all your files!

Glad you were able to get it working! I had my EHD "die" a while back and it turned out to be the case - the drive itself was fine, we installed it in my computer and it's worked perfectly since. :)
 
SO glad you got everything back! Sounds like the friend isn't much of one to have that kind of reaction.

Thank goodness! Ok speaking from experience...a girl that had duplicate things on TWO ehd...and both crashed within a day from each other...paid $700 for data recovery...and then had a brand new 1.5TB drive try to crash the first day (Best Buy said it was defective)...write those to DVD!!! Write now!
