Even though the lyrics either have nothing to do with you or are even things you're against?

It's normally rap stuff for me like this song or this oldie but goodie or even this more obscure one

If you notice they all have a similar sound, so I'm obviously in love with the music and ignore the lyrics but P thinks I'm ridiculous since I'm so anti drugs and things like that..haha
 
Well, I was sort of like that with Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" song. I loved the tune, it was really fun and catchy. But I didn't like the content of the song. I finally had to just stop listening to it.
 
Happens to me all the time. A lot of times, I'll hear a specifc lyric from the song that I connect to and latch onto that. But I usually think of it in a different context than the song.
 
I generally won't listen to music with content I don't approve of.

Granted, there's not a whole heck of a lot that offends me so the "banned" songs are few and far between :D
 
yes...I loved 2pac for a really long time even though some of his songs had a horrible message...some of them have a very positive message (and were really catchy too). It's been a long time since I listened to him though.
 
Yes! This hardly ever happens to me, but I can think of one very specific song. I love "Centerfold," but really it's because it reminds me of a very good time in my life!

I completely love Golddigger by Kanye West.
It's an absolutely reprehensible song... he's so disgusting.
I love it so much. It's secretly on my iPod.
 
OMG! Yes! lmao!! I have a few Akon songs in my faves...and a few other rap ones which is awful for me and if you met me IRL you would think it was hilarious! lol
 
I rarely even understand what is being said in the lyrics, it's always the tune that makes me love a song first and then the words follow!

all the time! I just heard a couple songs yesterday for the first time... they had really good tunes but I could do w/o the stoopid lyrics. I swear, some people can sing about garbage and get paid $$$ for it.
