Do you think this is weird?

You know how you have messages in your gallery that say like "so and so added your photo "blah blah" to their favorites?" Well not here but at another gallery I had someone add like 25 of my pages to their favorites but they never commented on any of them. I just thought that was a little strange.
 
Sometimes when I see a LO I love, I quickly add it to my favorites and forget all about commenting on it. Then later I am like, jeez, how did I not comment on that. She could also be waiting for a time when she has the time to sit down and comment fully.
 
A lot of times I add pages to my favorites just for inspiration. I like to go back when I have no mojo and look thru my faves and get some ideas. Maybe that's what she's doing.
 
I don't think it's necessarily weird. Maybe she just really loves your pages and wants easy access to them for future inspiration, but isn't one to comment much.
 
I think what probably happened was that she saw your LOTW on the blog, went to your gallery and just started trolling your amazing gallery for inspiration. I've done that a few times with LO artists I love. I'll just go through their gallery page by page and add favorite after favorite. I *try* to comment on LOs I add to my faves, but I can't always do that.

I think there are way too many rules and expectations when it comes to praise. :D I've added layouts to my favorites before without leaving praise. Sometimes I just like to browse the galleries without the expectation of having to leave comments. I wouldn't add 25 layouts without leaving a comment but it sounds like she is probably a new scrapper and I know when I was just starting out, I wasn't comfortable leaving praise since I didn't know how the whole system worked. Really, I think having layouts added to someone's favorites says a whole lot more than a few words they could have left for you. :thumbup:
 
Wow, that's awesome! Kinda odd that she didn't leave a single comment, but if she's a newbie, she may just not know. :)
 
When you think about it...she could be the type of person that doesn't post much and ALSO not realize that it tells you when a layout is added to their faves. If a layout of hers has never been added to someone's favorites, she would have no way of knowing that.

So is it weird? Not really...I've done it before in other galleries.
 
I think I did that when I was just starting out - didn't realise it sent a message and felt like such a newbie that I didn't feel I was qualified to comment on a great page. Took me a while to get enough confidence to say I liked something.

Definitely a huge compliment though!

I get a lot of my layouts added to people favorites at MSA. Of course, some of the other sites I post to don't have that type of thing. And yeah, there's a few people at MSA who add my layouts to their favorites but never comment.
 
I've added some layouts to my favorites, but was too shy to comment! LOL! But I don't think I'd add 25 of them without leaving some sort of comment (read as a reason as to why I added them in the first place!) :)

I admire so many layouts that I see, and some of them have like 10 comments already, so I personally like to comment on those that only have a couple- some that have none.... kwim? Spreading the love, I guess! :p

I agree. I think getting a "your page has been added to so-n-so's faves" is praise in itself... although I guess I don't really know, since no one's ever added me to their faves :p
 
not weird.....a newbie that hadn't seen your gallery before and wanted to fave a lot of your layouts, that's probably all there is to it. There are a lot more people in the online community than are actually visible via posting - and like above, she probably doesn't know you get a notice.
 
haha that happened to me at msa the other day I went to my gallery and was like what the heck 35 messages, it was all one girl adding my pages to her faves. No comments either Probably the same girl!
 
Take it as a compliment. There is one girl in another forum who must have hundreds of my cards in her favourites folder but I've never recieved a comment from her. It's nice to think someone likes my stuff that much :)
