New Mommies: White House Baby Announcements

Hi Guys. I just remembered that I got a baby announcement signed by the president. I have them for both of my boys from their respective presidents in office. It was a cool thing to have in their baby books and I thought you might like to have them too.

Not sure how it is handled with the changing of the guard-if your baby was born with GWB as president.

That would be neat! I'd love to have that done- but I'd not only want to get one for our soon coming arrival, but for my 3 yo, too. I wonder how they would handle the ones from when Bush was pres. Hmmm...

They also do it with Golden Anniversaries. My Grandparents had their 50th when Ronald Reagan was President. They got a very nice certificate and letter signed by both Ronald and Nancy.

Hmmmm... I bet they have a bunch on hand for the babies born just before the changeover of presidents. For your 3yo, I would send one in with a 2008 birth year on the birth date and see what happens. I had to fib a bit with my ds2 because I think they have a 1 year time limit for requesting...(don't tell....)

I never got one from the prez. But when the first two kids were born the Governor at the time sent out cards.
