Bind-it-All Wire Q

I was just wondering what size Bind-it All wires you feel you NEED to keep in inventory? I bought some 3/4 and 1" when I purchased my BIA, but am wondering if I need to keep the 1/2" around too. My local stores do not carry supplies or the BIA, so I need to order online and keep handy.

BTW, I usually make small albums--either with light weight chipboard or laminated 4x6 photos, or have the covers in chipboard and the interior pages (80-120lb)cardstock.

Thanks for your input. :)

I just purchased some wires for mine today :) I got 3/4" and 1" but I plan to use it on thicker projects.

Is your BIA new? If so, just do a few projects that you would normally do, and see if the 3/4" wires are too big for your taste. If they are, then get some 1/2" ones. That way you don't spend on money something you might not need :)

Thanks. I will do that. The BIA and the extra supplies are shipping today, so, I should have everything by the end of this week or early next week. I can test drive everything and see then. Thanks again!

I'd love to help out, but my BIA is still sitting unused in the cabinet since Xmas! I did get some 1/2 wires though, since the 3/4 and 1 inch sounded so big. But I haven't tried any of them out yet. :(

I think my cricut is covered in 1" of dust at this point, LOLOL!! I'm tempted to give my mom whatever cartridges she doesn't have, and sell the rest on ebay or craigslist or something.

I have 3/8" and 5/8" wires and found the 3/8" are too small unless you're using something really thin. I used it for a mini album made with 4 chipboard coasters and it's hard to turn the pages. So I think the bigger sizes are better if you'll be using chipboard at all.

I bought 3/4" and 1" wires as well...the only smaller ones the LSS had were in pink and blue and I wasn't sure I'd use them. The 3/4" is all I've used so far and it was WAY too big for one little project I helped my sister with (it could have used a 1/2" or smaller, really), but has been perfect for the other ones I've put together.

I have 3/4" and 3/8". The 3/4" can be too big if its a thin project. The 3/4" worked perfect when I had a cover & backing from a cardboard box (thicker than chipboard). And the 3/8" is too small if there's any chipboard. However I do use the 3/8" if I want to bind a 4x6" brag book with no chipboard. And I made notepads with the 3/8". I really want something inbetween, but I'm not sure if I should buy 1/2" or 5/8". Too bad they don't make a sampler pack :)
