Am I the only person who reads your name in my head as "litterbox?" It makes me laugh just about every time! What does it actually mean?
 
Oh goodness - I had never even thought of that. It's just the first letter of my first name combined with my last name. My last name is Tarbox. I don't think I'm willing to go through the trouble of having my name changed on every site I'm a member of, so I'm going to have to leave it the same, even if people think of me as a litterbox. Ouch!
 
First of all, I've never thought of that. I do understand how people say things in their heads, but I've never thought of that!

Second of all, and somewhat unrelated, I LOOOOVE the name Lydia! My Nathaniel was going to be a Lydia...and funny enough, so was Parker...but the time I actually had a girl, I went with Naomi :blink:

Oh, certainly don't change your name! I wouldn't know who you were if you did! Apparently I'm the only one who thought of it that way, so just chalk it up to my weirdness! :)
 
I already knew it was your name, but the litterbox pronunciation never occurred to me, either. No matter what your username is, I think there's always someone who misreads it. On a babywearing site I go by the username digiscrapper. Someone posted a thread like this for me because they'd been reading it as digi's crapper, LOL.
 
Oh thanks ladies! Don't worry - I'm not offended if anyone misread my username. I know a lot of people have seen it as an "I" and I can see how that would be - it's an easy mistake to make. And, hey, I've been called Lynda more times in my life than I can count - even by teachers who were looking at my name on a paper. So, it's really okay. And, by the way, I don't have any problem with the name Lynda, it's just not my name. Funny story about your digiscrapper username Rachel. Hope you're doing well with that new baby!
 
So just to clarify, I never misread it as "litterbox." That's just the pronounciation that's in my head. You know, like LOL is "loll" etc. The odd things that go through my head...:)

I thought the L was an I also...
