If you were a little girl in the 70s...

Ahh, those wrre great. I guess I was between to decades. Born in '76 so I got tail end of the 70's and full blast of the 80's!!! Great times!

LOL I was '76 too, and I had those Donnie & Marie dolls...I remember getting in big trouble for whackin her hair off! lol

Those Donny & Marie dolls were the first toys I ever bought myself...I had them on layaway at TG&Y and my mom took me down there every week to plunk down my allowance money on them.

I"m a '76 girl too...I had the Donny and Marie dolls but got into the full fledge stuff in the 80's lol

You had that Fisher Price Doctor's Kit with a stethoscope that actually worked. CHECK

You thought Gopher from Love Boat was cute (admit it!)CHECK

You had nightmares after watching Fantasy Island . STILL DO...CHEACK

You had rubber boots for rainy days and Moon boots for snowy days. MOON BOOTS!!!LOL....CHECK

YEAH! You owned a 'Slip-n-Slide', on which you injured yourself on a sprinkler head more than once. CHECK

You owned 'Klick-Klacks' and smacked yourself in the face more than once! CHECK

Your Holly Hobbie sleeping bag was your most prized possession. CHECK

You had the Donnie and Marie dolls with those pink and purple satiny shredded outfits, or the sunshine family DONNIE AND MARIE...CHECK

You had homemade ribbon barrettes in every imaginable color. (Oh yeah!) OMG....CHECK

You had a pair of Doctor Scholl's sandals (the ones with hard sole & the buckle). You also had a pair of salt-water sandals. YEP, CHECK

You wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder really bad; you wore that Little House on the Prairie-inspired plaid, ruffle shirt with the high neck in at least one school picture; and you despised Nellie Oleson! OH GOD I LOVED HER! CHECK

You wanted your first kiss to be at a roller rink! ---- yes it was! HA HA HA IT WAS!!!!!

You carried a Muppets lunch box to school and it was metal, not plastic. With the thermos inside some were glass inside and broke the first time you dropped them. CHECK

You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of Hazzard was your boyfriend. CHECK

YOU had Star Wars action figures, too! HECK YES! CHECK

You often asked your Magic-8 ball the question: 'Who will I marry. Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garrett, or David Cassidy?' LEIF :) CHECK

You glopped your lips in Strawberry Roll-on lip-gloss till it almost dripped off. CHECK

OK....there were only a couple that didn't apply to me:
No Donnie/Marie or Sunshine Family dolls
I did not have a "Dorothy Hamill"
No Moon boot :(
Never got into LHOTP - I was more a Little Women girl, myself!

However,
I injured myself more than once with those darn Klick-Klacks :D
I  my banana seat bike with the flower basket!
And, I did graduate from Tiger Beat to Rolling Stone (eventually LMAO!)

That was way too much fun! Thanks!

Almost all of those soo apply to me! I remember playing in my Wonder Woman underoos, with my Zippy the Zip-Monkey doll and his girlfriend, Tippy, and pretending that I was a member of The Brady Bunch, while listening to my Bee-Gee's radio with microphone!! The '70's were awesome!!!

Oh i had a Holly Hobbie bedroom getup!!

I still have my pillowcase to this day

I still have 2 complete sets of twin sheets and my girls have no interest in using them :(
I was born in 74.. I wanted Bo Duke, or Andy Gibb would have done. Ricky Schroder was pretty hot too. I had a Big Wheel and WOnderwoman underoos and there are pictures of me using both at the same time in my memere's driveway. Good times!

I was born in '68, so a good portion of those applied to me: the banana seat bike and the metal roller skates (the kind that you hooked onto your sneakers with a key), the Dorothy Hamill haircut (twice for me), I wanted a Simon but got a Merlin instead, had the ribbon barrettes and the Dr Scholl's sandals, I was addicted to LHOTP (have some of the DVDs even now) and hated Nellie, my hair never had "wings" but my BFF's did, loved the Muppet Show (and movie), we had Thermoses with the glass (in fact the Thermos plant was in the next town over from us), had fun with the Magic 8 ball and thought I would marry Shaun Cassidy, I had the "Grease" soundtrack on 33 1/3 (still have it), I did tons of arts & craftsy things including those loom potholders and the Shrinky Dinks, had my portable tape recorder, read Judy Blume voraciously, wanted to be a solid Gold dancer, had Love's Baby Soft and the strawberry lip gloss (in fact my friend's said lip gloss ruined my Shaun Cassidy poster when she kissed it), and had Holly Hobbie and Strawberry Shortcake paraphernalia.

I am a '75 girl and pretty much checked off every one on the list. I never had the Donnie and Marie dolls or Simon and Merlin, but my best friend did and I loved to go to her house and play with them. I still have my Hollie Hobbie doll and all of my Strawberry Shortcake dolls. I made the mistake of letting my girls play with them and now some of their legs are broken off (old brittle plastic).

I didn't have Strawberry Shortcake...I was born in '71 and I think I was a bit too old when they came out, but I still have my Hollie Hobbie purse with doll in the front pocket...I let Rachel get hold of it (mistake, and now need to glue part of her hair back on LOL).
I think they need to add The Ginghams paper dolls to the list...and what about those awesome edu-toons we saw on ABC Saturday morning? Not just Schoolhouse Rock (which I have on DVD, BTW), but the yellow dude in the tophat who taught us how to make popsicles with an ice cube tray, orange juice, and toothpicks (aka sunshine on a stick)! And the Electric Company...I miss the The Adventures of Letterman!!!

I had a Hollie Hobbie bedroom set when I was 4, and the Donnie and Marie dolls around that time too. And our swingset tipped over on multiple occasions. ROFL!

OMG almost ALL of these are me... holy cow what memories.

But THIS cracked me up cuz it SO happened EVERY year...

It was a big event in your household each year when the 'Wizard of Oz' would come on TV. Your mom would break out the popcorn and sleeping bags!

Oh, girl! This was a BIG event in our house LMAO! I still love watching the movie. When I was young, the monkeys scared the CRAP out of me!

Paper Dolls: Love those! My Mom even found some where you could color your own clothes - those were awesome  I also had some that were called "Colorforms". They were like a rubberized plastic. You would stick them on the doll and then could peel them off.

I didn't have the Donny/Marie dolls...but I had Crissy with the magic growing hair - you'd yank on it and it would get longer. I also had the Dawn dolls - they were smaller than Barbie - maybe 6 or 7 inches tall. And does anybody remember those tiny dolls (2" tall, maybe) that smelled like flowers - Gardenia, etc.?

Did any of you watch Zoom? Awesome show!

Such a fun trip down memory lane!

What a about Fashion Plates...did anyone besides me obsess over these?
I remember the Christmas they were under the tree...I was in fashion coordinator heaven.
I would guess it was in the late 70's...

I was a bit older when I got these...I would imagine 82-85 sometime in there...they were equally as fun!

OMGosh, I LOVED my fashion plates and colorforms!

I also had a Candi doll...it was bigger than Barbie (maybe 15-18"?)...you could color her hair...I also remember her blonde hair never being exactly blonde again after I dyed it dark brown (it was supposed to wash out).
