LMAO...occasionally I do some *really* stupid things without thinking. Today's episode involves hot wax.
So I have this candle jar thingie and a warmer, and when I warm up the jar it obviously melts on the bottom and then starts pushing the solid wax up. For some reason I got it in my head that I needed to "drill" a hole (with a pen) through the softened-yet-solid wax to let some of the liquid (aka HOT) wax bubble up so that it would go back down.
Mmmhmm. Can we see where this is leading yet? Cause I totally didn't. So I drill a hole into the wax, not really a problem there...until I decide to start STABBING at the wax with the pen...then some hot wax comes flying out of the holes I've created. OK, haha...funny.
Nope, can't stop there. Drilling the holes didn't make the solid wax move back down, so I figured I'd help it along a little bit. Stop laughing...cause you know where this is going...again, I totally didn't see it coming. So I'm standing there with my face DIRECTLY above the jar and I'm pushing down with my fingers on the wax trying to get it to go down. Remember all those holes I created? Yeah, LOTS of hot wax comes FLYING out those holes and sprays me all in my face, I got it in my hair and it's all down my shirt. Not to mention my floor and desk.
