Still no baby..

:(:(:( I am so tired of being pregnant and now worring that she won't do anything until right before DH has to leave again. :( Nothing is working so far...today we're going to go shopping so I can walk around Sam's club and the mall. I just feel like NOTHING is happening and it is soo frustrating. I just hope that by the time I see the doc on Monday I've dilated just a little bit so he can go ahead and induce me. How ironic is it that for 9 months I've been worring I'd go into labor early and now I can't get labor started!?

But it's great to have DH home...we're at least enjoying our time together so far but it'd be so much better if I had my baby too.
 
God does have a pretty funny sense of humor, doesn't He? Giving us exactly what we want & we find out we don't want it! BTDT.

Here's to hopin' you go into labor over the weekend!!
 
I remember how hard it is towards the end, Nikki. I hope things happen quickly for you!
 
Walking is def good...it kinda got things going for me with the twins!!! Good Luck sweetie and don't shop too much;)
 
((Nikki)) That IS crazy that after all of that she is takin' her sweet time!! I hope she goes for the grand finale soon...what day does your hubby go back?
 
Sorry!! Hopefully, it will happen soon! In the meantime, try to enjoy another day with just one child! Your life is about to change. LOL
 
awwww, nikki! that has to be the worst feeling. wondering if she'll arrive for daddy...sending lots of labor vibes! it will happen....soon!!!!

Sorry that she's not coming now that you want her here...hopefully she comes on her own or the doctor figures he's able to induce you soon! :)

Induction will only work if your body is ready - if it's not, your body is working against the contractions and makes labor longer and more stressful on the baby.

Yes, thats very true. I had to be induced with my firstborn and I wasn't ready and it was just an awful mess. Then again, my doctor was a total quack, so that might have had something to do with it....

I was induced the first time too, but my body was very ready...I'd been 3cm dilated for a month and my cervix was very ready, I just needed help getting past 3cm dilated. :p
 
Walk, walk, walk, then go have either Thai food or Eggplant Parmisigna to eat, then get down tonight with dh. All that combined, maybe it will help. Good luck!
 
I think the walking around Sam's Club will help... I had a very spicy burger and then got pissed at Home Depot after walking around for a couple of hours looking for stuff, and then the next morning, whammo... thought I peed the bed, stood up and GUSH, my water totally broke.
 
Yep a big shopping walk worked for me too! Be ready tonight or tomorrow morning!

Nan swears by drinking Raspberry Tea, my own experience and knowing what happened with my mum says shopping works pretty well lol but the most effective plan - make plans because if there's something you plan to do you know that little ray of sunshine will upstage them after all a girls gotta make an entrance lol and apparently take her sweet time doing it :p (((hugs)))) i'm sorry she's not doing what you want guess we all overdid those stay in their vibes. Well...I ate spicy Mexican food for lunch yesterday, then walked around the mall twice, Sam's Club and Toys R Us, DTD last night and still nothing. It's beyond frustrating knowing that every day that passes is another day gone that DH won't be here with us after she's born. I'm just praying really hard that Monday when I see the doc I"ve started dilating some so that he can induce me.

Oh and to add insult to injury today, my MIL called last night and they are coming up to visit today. UGH! I am NOT in the mood for company. Not to mention the fact that she'll be right back up here when the baby's born driving me crazy. I have MIL issues I'm afraid. DH was a big time mama's boy when we met and thankfully I've broken him of that but she can't let go. Drives me nuts...plus I'm uber-pregnant and cranky and just not in the mood kwim? My parents live 10 minutes away and haven't been here since DH got home b/c they know we just want to be alone for a while...but does MIL get that? no of course not. :(
 
I'm sorry your little gal isn't cooperating with your plans. Hang in there! I hope she makes a quick appearance this weekend! Maybe the stress of MIL being around will force her out! :p
 
My cousin and friend had their membranes stripped to help things along. I've never done it (sounds painful) but maybe at your next appointment you can ask about that? Sending labor vibes your way!
 
i had my membranes stripped with all 3 of mine i believe. its painful and you cramp afterward. i don't know if it really helped me however. i went into labor a couple days after having it done with all 3. i really hope she makes her appearance soon!!
 
awee girl ((HUGS)) sending those labor vibes ur way...i know the MIL feeling..she's going to be up here for Christmas...tho my poor dad is military and my mom can SOOO understand what you mean about ur MIL...my dads mom CONSTANTLY i mean CONSTANTLY can't let go...she's always up my dads butt...uggh..that's why we children dont get along very well with her is because she's like that..was always invading our time with our dad when he came home for a few weeks on deployment or something...I feel ur pain..in some ways...just my 3 cents if u ever need someone to talk to send me a PM.
