Do you use the "Buddy List" feature?

Aaron, there is a friends list and a buddy list. I have friends, but no buddies :) <-- not sure what that says about me, lol.
 
Oh well, there you go...I don't have buddies, I have friends. But even then, I *have* people on it, but I have no idea what it does, so I don't really use it. The buddy list was there before the upgrade, the friends list is new.

ETA: I voted "yes" but I guess that was a lie, lol.
 
I'm just getting back to being online with you guys again... (been a way for awhile) I haven't had a chance to go through all the new stuff since the upgrade, but no I don't have buddies! :mellow:
 
I think you can only access buddies through the gallery profile. Here is the definition it gives (and I love how it points out that I'm a loser with no buddies, lol):
"You have no buddies in your list. When you add a new buddy you can see their status in your Buddy List and get messages on their new uploads. You can add buddies by viewing a member's profile and clicking on Add to Buddy List."

It sounds kind of cool to get updates when people upload new layouts. I'm not really sure what the difference is between buddies and friends, lol. I was hoping someone else would know!!! I've noticed my friends show up with a + next to their name when they are online.
 
Yeah, I added a couple too, lol. But it's kindof a pain to find, you have to go into your gallery profile, then click "buddy list" and then you can see their latest layout and latest comment. I don't know if it updates you on more than just one layout or not.
 
I picked yes AND no LOL.... 'cause 3 whole people have asked me to be their friends. I've not asked anyone because I don't know what it's for LOL

I am so amazed at how nosy I can be in the gallery now. :blink: Was it always like this? I clicked on Meghan's profile and I can see all the comments she has left, all her favorites, all her statistics. Has it always been like that and I'm just clueless. Which is very likely and possible, actually!:p
 
I have no idea what the buddy list is, actually I didn't know it exsisted until you added me, Sheri. ;) Sounds interesting though.

Yep, you probably could do that before. I can do that at other scrapping sites also. :)

I wasn't aware that friends and buddies were different before this thread ... so my answer of "no" really wasn't very accurate. :D

Okay, so I added a couple buddies and you get comments letting you know they've updated layouts. Pretty cool!

So now that I know what a buddy is, does anyone know what the friends list does? Is it just so you can navigate to your friends' profiles?
 
you go to someones gallery and then click the link with their name...it should take you to a blank looking page with blue links underneath their photo...there is where you can add them as a buddy. :)

Is it possible I have even fewer friends here than facebook... sad...
 
I had no idea that either the friends list or the buddies list was there until I got a notification that I had a friend, lol! Then I was like "What the heck, okay, I'll say yes...". Hahah. Now what it does or is, I have no idea, lol!
 
okay, so I just went into my friends list, and clicked on Bree... did you know that you can "Break Friendship"? Hahha! Slap to your "friend"!
