i don't wanna look like a cupie doll anymore. :D

la has me all wound up about my hair now...and i have an appt saturday with a new stylist at a swanky salon downtown. woot!!

show me picture of what my hair needs to look like.

keep in mind a couple things:

1. my hair is fine and wavy.
2. i am used to wearing a straighter style (i love my chi!) cause my waves are puke ugly.
3. i have a fat oval face.
4. i want a shorter style. like 3-4 inches above the shoulders short.

I need a new one too, but we have very different hair. lol. Mine is coarse and super curly. I'm addicted to my straightening iron too, though. :D
 
I don't know why, but oddly, I like this! lol Never for me, but I think someone totally spunky & crazy (like you) could pull it off! :)

I love the inverted bob... last photo LeeAndra posted... just a bit longer. I've got the crap-waves and the super-fine hair too. It's so easy to style and doesn't go super-flat like any other haircut does on me. JM2C.
 
This is how I cut my hair and I love it. Its quick to style and I plan on getting a body wave (I have stick straight hair) to allow me more versatility.

I so need a new style, too. But for some reason the stylists give up on me when I tell them I need something super quick to style that needs no maintenance and doesn't have to be blow dried.

Anyhow, I have no suggestions and need hair help WAY more than you, but I just wanted to tell you to have fun at your swanke salon getting prettied up!
 
I think you should style your hair like mine so we can be twins ;)

I wish I could help out, but I've seriously had the same hair since the 90s, lol. It's very low maintenance -- wash, dry, comb, apply mousse, air dry -- repeat daily :) I cut my own hair too.
 
Mmmm I just got mine cut again. It's a lil shorter than I normally do (which is why Jordan hates it) but I like it :) Lemme edit a photo to post.

This is how I usually get my hair done (the photo is not me though lol), it is super easy to style too. I haven't had mine cut in awhile, I need to go later this week!

OMG!! I LOVE THIS CUT!!! I really wish I could go short. DH would KILL me if I ever went this short tho...

I personally like the last one. I think that cut would totally fit your face at ;least the way you described it. (not sure if that is similar to what you have now or not. Im not sure if Ive ever actually seen a full picture of you. just the little avatar you used to have)

I'm going in on Thursday and I am SO sick of my hair! It's to my shoulders right now and my DH too would kill me if I went completely short. At my last appt my hair stylist said that bangs were "in" - which I have, but which aren't good and thick so I hate them.
 
Where's a good spot on the net to find cute haircuts? I need one, too, but my hair is coarse, wavy and thick and can't be blown dry because of the humidity and the waves are kinda flat. Really what I need is to shave my head and get a wig. :(

My hair was past my shoulders a few years ago and I told DH that I was getting a haircut and he says "What!? WHY!? I like your hair the way it is" and I said "I'm just getting a trim, don't worry".... then I came back with that hair style! LOL

And what's worse... he didn't even notice until several HOURS after I'd gotten home. He jumped like he was startled and said "THAT'S A TRIM!??!"

oooo. heather i love mandy moore cuts...i just don't have that perfect face or long neck to go with!! i would cut mine like that in a heart beat if i did.

megan and shawna...i love that cut. mine is now a grown out wedged cut with long angles in the front a big swoopy bangs. i may just end up going with it again just with more layers.

la...i love your cuts too. i may get the last one you posted!

everyone else...hot stuff. esp that alyssa milano!! dang! i did have mine short like that in highschool. i was much hotter then. *sigh*

I have had hair down to my bra-strap and the same style for 25 years. A year ago May I did something like this:

I warned DH that I was going to cut my hair to my shoulders, the HD had other plans and cut it chin length. I loved it, everyone else loved it. I got more compliments on that cut. Well DH didn't talk to me for 2 days! He hates short hair. So I started growing it out again. Which I am not happy about but it's easier than listening to him complain. Plus I feel bad enough that I'm not skinny for him like I used to be so I don't want to be fat AND unattractive to him. KWIM?

OK, sorry to turn that around to me but I just love this kind of hairstyle and I can't wait to see what you do Fizz!

Dear Pam,

Lets get our hubbies together (ok future hubby, whatever) and then lock them in a cage match with some big dude for being so damn silly. Jordan didn't talk to me for 2 hours when I came home with my hair that short last week. He haaaaaaaaaaaaaaates short hair. I LOVE mine short and think I look awesome (if I do say so myself LOL). Thankfully, I have 3 months before I go back for a highlight job to decide whether or not I want to appease him and grow it out for the wedding.

Men should not have opinions on our hair. It's OURS not theirs.
