How in the world do you get those amazing shadows on your layouts? I HAVE to know!!

Do you do them yourself or are they bought? Do you just tweak them with every LO or do you have specific settings that you use?

I'm just so in awe of your shadowing and I have to know your secret!!

Tell me too!

sorry guys!! i was busy, lol.

i just use the drop shadow style in photoshop elements. i play around with it til i get it how i want it. most of my shadows are at a 45 degree angle. i color the shadow to be a few shades darker than the paper its overlapping. it just involves playing til i get it right! i didnt realize they were that great, lol. Thanks for noticing everyone!!!

hmmm, maybe it isn't all talent but a bit of effort mixed in, too. if that is the case, i'll just stick with my sub-par shadows. :p

yah, i take the time to make sure they look right. and it depends on each layout. i just play til i like it!

oh, and someone wanted to know how long i work on a LO? not usually very long. i'm a fast scrapper. usually only about an hour? i don't time myself lol. occasionally, maybe 2 or three, but not usually all in one sitting. the most recent one (the New Jeans one) i started this morning, finished most of it in about an hour then did the title later on.

how do you change the color of your shadow?

i use photoshop elements 6. when you click on the little icon on your layer to adjust the layer style, there's a little square on the right thats usually defaulted to black. click on that and your color pallette comes up.

i can do screenshots if anybody is lost lol.

I think this must be the "thing" that really makes your shadow work stand out. Its the coloring.

Hm.... food for thought...

THANKS COREY!! XOXOXOXOXOX
