Here are the directions for MPIX.
Not sure who posted it at DST last year, but this is what I used to do mine.
The way to order their press products is through their software interface that you download, then create your items and order them from the software. It's possible that there is a way to just send your files for printing on a calendar, but I haven't emailed to find out yet (they only have one option that I can see on the site). So what I did first was check out the interface to see how customizable it could be. Here's what I figured out on their software....
There is no option for "no template" so you just start with a template and you can load your image over the top of the grid, essentially. For the full page, just create your image in your usualy way (Photoshop or whatever), save as jpg then create a new calendar in the Mpix press software, and on your page- insert your image (Personalize> Add new picture). So far, I haven't figured out a way to DELETE the calendar grid (if anyone knows, please hook us up!) but you can just click on your design/image then right-click and "Bring forward" and it will move it in front of your grid. If the calendar grid is still showing around the edge of your image, you can shrink it by selecting it and dragging the corners in. Any text or picture upload boxes that are on the template, you should just be able to select and hit delete and they will go away.
For the two pager, you do it the same, just working on the top and bottom (bottom part you'll need to bring forward to cover up their grid). When you load an image on most templates, it will import small, but then you can either drag from the corner or right click and hit "resize to fill page" and resize it from there. I plan to leave a margin of white around the edge, but they do full bleed on these. This part looks a little wonky, because you kind of have to eye it if you're not using a full bleed, BUT there is a grid that you can turn on, and as long as you create your image at the full size of the calendar page, you won't lose any quality and it doesn't skew your image during resizing.
(BTW, I tested it all on the Grandma template and it was an easy one to mess with, didn't have any problems getting rid of text boxes or anything).
You just go through and create your whole calendar then submit it from the software for printing. It seems easy peasy, and like I said, Mpix printing is excellent quality so they will turn out really nice.
Hope that helps someone else. I was excited to find a good option so I wanted to pass along the information. Let me know if you have any questions or if what I've typed doesn't make sense
