ABC just announced Barack is the projected winner!! WOOOOOOOT!
 
Even though I did not vote for him I am excited. I do hope that he is successful and am looking forward to what he brings.

And I am excited that this election is over!
 
I am choked up, and I am so happy our country got it right! (IMHO, of course :) )

I am ready to move forward in healing our country & the world.
 
Yep, we were watching on CNN when they projected.

This was the first time I've ever voted too. Feels good. :)

My vote did count. I bugs me for people to say that their vote counted when their candidate won. I went out and voted just like you did. So my vote did count. It might not have tipped the scales but I am proud of what I did. Everyone who voted today counted.

I'm listening to McCain's concession speech now! So excited! (And it was surreal to hear the analysts talking about my county all night while waiting for the Virginia vote to come in.)
 
Yes, Amanda. Your vote DID count. Together, you and I, and everyone else who just VOTED made this election one of the best ever in voter turnout as well. Everyone's vote is important, not just those who won :wub:
 
I am happy, too. History has been made, for sure. I think this will definitely improve racial relations in the country as well as our relationship with numerous countries. I only wish my Dad was here to see it - he would have been proud.
 
I agree - every vote counts and evidently many other people felt the same way since so many came out to cast their vote for the person they felt was best for our country. I am just very happy to be a part of that process!:p
 
it truly is a historic moment. My candidate didn't win ... but the election is over and McCain had a wonderful concession speech. I said earlier today that I had faith in my God that the right man would end up in office. I don't understand why, but I am sure that in time God's plan will be revealed. I do not have faith in one man ... I have faith in my God.
 
I am happy as well. It has been a hard election season and difficult for me. I am a fairly conservative Christian but feel differently about this election than many others of my faith and that has been hard. I am so glad the election is over. And very happy to have Obama as our next President.

this is incredible! i'm so emotional and excited! had to get mckenna out of bed to show her what today was all about. lol
