Ok so I had to buy the first book to see what the big commotion was about. Im up to chapter 6 already, all I want to do is read it.
I want to get through the book before the movie comes out.

Well today I caved and had a peek at the trailer for the movie, I got half the way through and paused it. If I watch the whole trailer will it spoil the book for me?

Also how many of the books does the movie draw from? Just the one or do I have to get through them all??

i want to read these sooo bad, but cannot get myself to buy the books. how cheap am i? i asked for them for christmas. :) i'm ridiculous.

I guess I wanted to watch the trailer because I enjoy the book more when I have a picture of the characters in mind. I caught a glimse of Bella and Edward though so thats enough for me.

Lizzy, I'd be happy to send you my set. I'm not a reeader and I hate storing books. I have to say I only have two hard cover tho, the other two are paperback.

Welcome to the addiction. Once you are done reading Twilight you want to make sure you have the other books so you can start them as soon as you are done.

I can not wait to see the movie!!!!

Well the newest trailer would probably spoil it a bit for you because it covers quite a bit of the movie since it's 2+ minutes long. But I saw the very first movie trailer before I read the books, in fact that was what finally got me interested in reading them! And now I'm absolutely hooked! So maybe watch the first trailer if you haven't seen it yet & then watch the newest one after you finish Twilight!

Also this first movie is only about the first book, they are possibly going to be doing the first three books as movies though it's not set in stone yet (like one per year with New Moon coming in late 2009 or early 2010).

OMG Lizzy!!! Me too!
So friggin cheap. I had to buy myself new jeans. I only have 2 pairs and one ripped on the leg about 2 weeks ago. The other day I found an awesome pair at Kohl's and it just about killed me to buy them. so if I am too cheap to buy pants, that I NEED, I just can't buy the books. But if anyone wants to loan me thiers....

There's an easy way around buying books - the library! ROFL

But good luck getting them there, we had a wait list for them at our library! :p

You will definitaly want to have New Moon waiting for you, LOL, Once you finish one book, you dont want to quit reading... LOL! :D

That's what I did, got on the wait list @ the big library here but they had tons of copies of the books so it wasn't long at all til it was my turn. I read Twilight in like 4 hours and as soon as I was done returned it & picked up New Moon & Eclipse and read both those in less than a day! I did buy Breaking Dawn when it came out, and eventually I plan to buy the first 3 books too so I can reead them all over again!

I am too lol that and I am broke.

I got the first book from the libary and then borrowed book 2 & 3 from Mom-to Elle.... and the 4th book from a coworker LOL

Check craigslist too... I have seen sets being sold there for cheap.

I am asking for the set for Christmas. I am a rereader :)

I went to Target last night to buy the first one......and it was damaged. I'm picky when I buy books though (no damage).....

Wow- I'm an avid reader but I guess I must be behind the times because I haven't even heard of this book. I just went to the website and looked at the synopsis of the story - I think I may have to go out and buy this one!! Looks really good!

OMG so I just wanted to say wow!!!
Im up to chapter 22 already, I read half a book in one day. I kinda dont want to read any further because it scares me the direction the book is taking.

Never in my life have I been this into a book that I didnt want to put it down!! Never in my life have I been this into anything!!
I dont want to read the second book because that means that there is only 2 more to go and I dont want to run out. How pathetic is that!!!

all I can say is WOW!!!! How did I not know about this sooner.

Oh you just have to finish it! When I read it I started after the kids went to bed and 4 hours later I was finished, I just couldn't put it down either! I told you it is SO darn addictive! I think once you finish you'll be running out to get the rest!

Also on Stephenie Meyer's web site she has posted the first 12 chapters of Midnight Sun, which is Twilight rewritten from Edward's perspective and it is SO good! Some evil person leaked a copy a few months ago & she has said she may not finish writing it but all of us fans are hoping she'll eventually reconsider & finish it! So once you finish Twilight you might want to check that out too :)

Oh, that copy of Midnight Sun is so awesome. I just wish someone hadn't spoiled it and we had that book to look forward to. And I'm not usually a reeader but I sure have been with these books. I so understand how you feel about not wanting to put the book down....and FYI, I just got the Movie Companion--there's some great movie pics and stuff in it....Haven't read it yet, saving it for the weekend

I finished the book this morning and went strait out and bought the next one and cant wait to get started.
I finally watched the trailer too.... I think I love Edward. LOL But I think we probably all do after reading the books.

ETA: Im glad I didnt finish watching the trailer until after I finished the book!
