This past weekend my dad also gave me a HUGE box of carrots and I finally got around to preparing them for freezing last night. I spent 4 hours washing, peeling, slicing and blanching carrots. Here are my spoils...........

12 quarts!!! :thumbup: :thumbup:

Now I have some carrots to go with that turkey

Tonight we are doing a bushel of tomatoes (into sauce YUMMY) and I also have a peck of pears to get in the freezer!!! Crap I'm tired just thinking of it!!!!

Look at you go! I canned peaches one year, and then the next I just cut them and put them in a freezer bag, lol...then I never did it again.

Eve, I don't hate them cooked but I prefer them raw. My DS is like that with all veggies, hates them cooked, will eat anything raw but mushrooms and asparagus.

Not odd at all... My DH is the same way. I however like them however you can cook them.
