Anyone know of a good place to buy replacement power cords? I'm looking at the Acer website and they look to be backordered :(.

Not Ebay. We tried doing that for an older computer since we didn't want to spend the $100 that Dell was asking, but the power cord we bought never fully charged the battery and stopped working after a few months. (That problem we've had before with our Dell cord, but at least when we went through them we were able to get a free replacement.)

DH said the manufacturer's really the only place to go since they're proprietary items....:( Sorry that doesn't help!

You're talking about a laptop brick powercord, right? :) Not like a regular power cord? 'cuz if you need a regular one, I'll put it in the mail for you tomorrow! :) We have a ton!

it's the cord that goes from the brick to the laptop. and i think it's permanently attached to the brick. so guess I need a new brick and cord.

very tempted to just limp along with duct tape.

Sorry Mimi, when I had my old craptop, I just ordered the THREE power cords I used from Dell.

Mine is starting to bend around the place where it plugs in, so I may order one soon just in case. I can't be without my pink lappie now LOL.

I had to replace that same part of the cord last year and I ordered directly from the Toshiba website since that's what my laptop was. It cost like $80. I was not excited about that.

i would be afraid to buy a pink one. DD thinks all pink things belong to her :D

Oooh, good point. I don't have to worry about that quite yet, but any kid that comes from DH and I will likely gravitate towards a computer by the time he or she is 2 months old. :)
