Update on my post from yesterday

So we decided it was a good move for DH to go to Texas and do the security gig. It's good money, they are fully armed, work in teams and will be wearing protective gear. So now its a matter of when FEMA says to head out. Most likely tomorrow.

and p.s. I do realize that many of your hubs are in war zones and a lot of us have loved ones in the law enforcement biz. I meant no disrespect to you ladies by making such a fuss about this! I've only been a cop wife for 5 years and I'm still getting used to it. Plus I have a flair for the dramatic :)

Oh honey, I don't think anyone took offense at all...everyone's perspectives are important and your feelings are valid. I think anyone, including me, who mentioned our own perspectives were doing so to bolster your spirits and let you know you aren't alone. :)

I hope that his time down there goes by quickly and it's really rewarding for him (not just monetarily). Will be thinking of you!

Thank you :) I felt a little selfish after I posted!

Awwww! I am sure that no one was offended sweetie!!!! No matter whose hubby it is, we all feal for each other. It's something you never get used to. {{hugs}} I will be praying for him and you while he's gone!

I am glad you feel better about the whole thing, I think we were all explaining how we felt, so you could know that there are many of who've been in similar situations. Us cop/Firefighter/miliary wives have to stick together, no one else really understands what it's like. ((hugs))
