If you could have any meal in the world, right this second, what would you be eating?

I think I might have a big bowl of chicken pancit. It's been a few years and I'm craving it so bad.

On the other hand, a big taco salad sounds good...
but so does meatloaf with veggies, and a big slice of chocolate cake and a glass of icy cold milk.

Maybe I just need a trip to Golden Corral.

Fried Ravolis from Orso, steak and baked potato. Maybe some shrimp. LOL!

Some cheesecake from Cheesecake factory sounds pretty yummy too.

Fish Tacos from Sea Island in San Antonio. Amy Blesser introduced them to me this summer and I fell in love. I might like them more than Mexican.

No...but almost!:thumbup::thumbup:

Anything I don't have to cook!

My favorite meal is a nice big juicy New York Strip Steak cooked med-well/well with my friend LisaMarie's Garlic/Horseradish Smashed Potatoes and a steamed/boiled Artichoke with lemon pepper mayo. YUM!!!

However, we are having Mexican Lasagna and Garlic Bread for dinner tonight.

Breakfast food--hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, croissant with syrup, waffles and all washed down with coffee :D

A big, juicy steak, medium. A baked potato with butter and sour cream. A huge salad with all the goodies. And the largest, yummiest slice of chocolate cake in the world. YUM YUM YUM. :p

I'd love a smoked turkey sandwich on fresh sourdough bread from Red River BBQ in League City, TX...will definitely have to stop by there when we go visit mom this fall, assuming Hurricane Ike doesn't take it out that is!

I would like to have some blue crabs cooked with old bay, some shrimp steamed with old bay and then chilled til they are ice cold with some cocktail sauce, some corn fritters sprinkled with powdered sugar, a salad with ranch dressing and corn on the cob or a deer burger with steak sauce and some lettuce and pickles.

Right this second... nothing... because I just finished a bowl of Chex Muddy Buddies and feel disgusted with myself. LOL!

However my normal answer would probably be an oreo milkshake and cheese fries from Nifty Fifities (a local fifties inspired diner than makes EVERYTHING from scratch).

I am SERIOUSLY missing my memere right now. And when I was a kid, she used to make me griddle cakes. They had a smell and a texture that was like nothing else. And she always cooked them while we were getting ready in the morning. It was a secret recipe. And now she is in a nursing home, having brain injuries from a fall, and a subsequent stroke. She took her secret recipe with her. And I could go for some today.

My instant first thought was chips n salsa, a peach margeurita and cheese enchiladas with spanish rice at the Mexican place on the RiverWalk in San Antonio. I just had it a couple of weeks ago and goodness only knows if I will ever get to go back again. Yummy.

I would also love a bowl of my Grandma's borscht and a kolache!

Without a doubt, I would be at La Giostra in Florence, Italy....best restaurant I've EVER eaten at! :) Apparently the chef/owner is a prince, there are tons of "famous" people pics with him on the walls and website. Jay and I have a photo with him from our trip too.

Top two dishes-

Ravioli with William’s pear and Pecorino cheese
Gnocchetti di patate con ricotta infornata e spinaci (sorry, that one's only in Italian on the site, LOL)

Yum yum, you have me drooling now!!

Anything I want and it's free? Hmmmmm

Crab legs and filet mignon with about 25 of my family members over here goofing off as we do with our monthly cookouts :)
or Salmon and orzo spinach whatever pasta stuff from Romano's Macaroni Grill with a big ole' blush San Gria at a little table with hubby.

I would eat at Mexico Chiquito, starting off with their salsa and cheese dip and somehow saving room for yummy fajitas afterwards. Then I would swing by Baskin Robbins on my way home and have some Daquiri Ice for dessert. In fact, this is what I'm going to do the first night I get home in December. Yummmmmy!

Oh, Heather, so sorry to hear about your grandma. You reminded me of the funnel cakes that my Pennsyvania Dutch grandma used to make for me. That's my pick.

Here's what I love to order up at Romano's Macaroni Grill. Maybe I can get the hubster to splurge this weekend. You girls have got my stomach growling. I'm actually browsing the website and yelling to the other room "hey Scott, can we go this weekend?" :p

Shrimp & Artichoke Dip
Shrimp, artichokes and spinach baked together and bubbling with Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. Served with Parmesan bread crisps

Grilled Salmon
Salmon filet with honey-teriyaki glaze. Served with spinach orzo pasta

Smothered Chocolate Cake
Rich chocolate cake smothered in homemade ganache and sprinkled with pecan pieces

White Peach Sangria Martini (just ONE. old crazy Amy likes to come out with more than that.)
ABSOLUT APEACH Vodka, Chardonnay and a splash of Sprite

Sushi!
I just love it! Since we are buying a house at the moment the past few months have been tight since we have been saving. So that meant cutting out sushi. I love it, it's just to darn expensive.

oh, Gosh. hard question, as i love food. a long time ago i had a seafood quesadilla at Don Pablos. it was SO good. I love any kind of quesadilla. but i can't stop there, now can i? i had a dish called Monterey Chicken at Chilli's once that was pretty good. I love chicken too. Nachos sound pretty good, Jamie, lol. oh yah, my grandma used to make one of those fruit pizzas with the cream cheese and strawberries, kiwi, bananas YUMMY! i've been wanting to try and make one.

i could seriously go on all day about food. so i'll stop there, lol.

UMMMM, I've been hungry since last night!! If I could have anything right now it'd be a Big Mac. For some reason Big Macs always just hit the spot!

Right this minute I'd love breakfast at Cracker Barrell - biscuits/country ham/eggs/hashbrown casserole/fried apples/grits with lots of butter/bacon and big old cup of coffee. (sigh) guess i'll make do with my bowl of cheerios :(
