pet peeves

Just thinking tonight after a visit from my sister about this certain thing and how much it annoys me. I would not tell her but when we talk about things she ALWAYS thinks she is right. I can show her where I get my information and she still says it is wrong even if it comes from a reputable source. So my pet peeve is that I absolutely hate when people cannot admit they are wrong NO MATTER WHAT!!

So that felt good to get that off my chest...whats your pet peeves?
 
I'm a freak about lateness. I'm a crazy on-time person. In fact, I'm usually early. My motto is, If you're on time, you're *almost* late. lol
I don't expect anyone else to be early, but I hate when people are late. lol
 
I can't stand "fake" people. It drives me nuts. (not that I am saying anyone here is fake lol, just in general)

LOL I am the same way. I always figure out how long itll take to get somewhere and then leave like 30 minutes before I think I should. Like if I think itll take an hour to get somewhere and I am supposed to be there at 3 I will leave at 1:30.

The sound of chewing gum makes me crazy. I can't stand it. I don't care how quietly you (not you really, just in general) think you are being with it, I can still hear it. Not cool.

That felt good to say. Do we have a limit on how many we can post? LOL!

Ohhh MAN-I would drive you insane...I'm a horrid gum snapper/popper...chewer...hehe.
 
My daughter is a gum chewer too. The chewing doesnt bother me so much anymore but she leaves her chewed gum in the freezer and it drives me crazy. I just think it is so gross. OK another pet peeve for me...when my daughter or husband put their feet on me. Feet are yucky and I cant stand anything about them. Toenails are the worst...especially my husbands. His grow really fast and he doesnt cut them as often as he should and it just grosses me out. One more is when someone takes one of my books/cd's/dvd's off the shelf and puts it back in the wrong place. I have my cd's grouped by genre and it bugs me to have rock mixed with country. My books are arranged by size and genre and that bugs me when I have one that is really big in between small ones. OK I know Im very weird and I have some OCD issues LOL
 
Ohhh I thought of another...about my husband and daughter again. I will ask them something or say something and they will say "You know that _____" (fill in the blank with whatever they are saying) and Im thinking well Noooo if I knew it then I would not be asking - DUHHH!!!
 
LOL I know dontcha just want to roll the window down and just laugh at them and say see you wasted all that gas trying to get nowhere fast and we are at the same red light at the same time :p

Ok, how about seeing a restaurant employee coming out of the restroom...I know they have to go too, but couldn't they wait until I'm not there? I'd rather not think of the stranger handling my food right after doing whatever in there...yuck.
 
YUCK!! What is worse is when you are in there and you see they DONT WASH THEIR HANDS!!! Soooo gross!! Im just kinda at a loss for words if that happens. Thankfully its only happened once at a restaurant and then at a walmart super center

My pet peeves are the lousy drivers on the road today. They are forever ignoring stop signs and red lights. And the youth of today, deliberately cross the street on a red light when you have the green and their like daring you to hit them. :cursing:
 
Oh gosh you should see these teenagers down the road from me. They LAY in the road in the middle of the day in front of their house. Then if you dont stop/slow all teh way down and go around them they get all madd and start screaming at you. One of them the other day acted like he was gonna jump in front of our car. My husband just ignores them "because we have to live here" I tell him to stop the car so I can yell at them and ask them if they are high or just plain stupid!! (or both most likely) Dont get me started on that subject cause it drives me crazy how some kids behave

(a) liars & hypocrites (often one & the same, but not always)
(b) people who don't use their turn signals
(c) leaving cabinets/drawers out or open after leaving the room
(d) leaving lights on after leaving the room
(e) tardiness
(f) disrespect especially 'Shut up.' & the 'f' word
(g) misspellings & grammar mistakes on public signage
(h) people who whine abt things who have no right to do so i.e. the 30yo friend of Jeff's who was whining this week abt losing a few hundred dollars on a cruise she booked but was too cheap and/or lazy to buy cruise insurance for... as she sits in the $500k Naples, FL condo her ultraich parents pay the mortgage on.
 
I'm another one that's always on time. I CAN NOT understand people that are an hour late unless there has been a major problem but late just BECAUSE!

It also annoys me when driving and I let someone in front of me and they don't wave thanks! How hard is it really?

Liars and fake people would be next.
 
i have a lot, lol. here's one. when you are waiting in line at Wal-Mart (or wherever) and the person in front is done paying, has their bags in their cart and the cashier has rang up your stuff already, but you have to wait on the first person to finish putting their money or whatever away (slowly) and move so you can swip your card. It's like, hello, just move ahead a little so i can get some privacy to pay. does that make sense? i really hate that. Oh, and when people in line behind you are crowding your space when you put in your pin number. when anyone is punching in a pin i always step back and give them space.

i'm sure i'll be back later for some more peeves. i have several, lol.

She must be related to my BIL's - both of them are that way and it drives me crazy!!! :cursing:
 
Here's mine:

1. People who think their kids can do NO wrong and that yours are complete punks.

2. People who constantly lecture you on things in your life that they know NOTHING about.

3. People who constantly judge others and refuse to acknowledge that they are being judgmental.

4. People who say "it's only a game" then get FURIOUS when they lose.

5. People who constantly complain and find the negative in EVERYTHING.
 
I think negativity is one of my pet peeves, which is ironic cause I think I have been a total pill lately but generally speaking LOL I also cant stand "fake" people. I have tons of those in my family. Umm blatant rudeness. Thats a toughy. Ignorance is a tough one for me too because breastfeeding as long as I did I got a lot of backwards comments from family. Passive aggresiveness is a tough pill to swallow to, thanks my lovely mil thats a new one LOL
 
I have two things that make me nuts. One is lateness. I am always on time or early and I think its so rude to make people wait! The second...and I apologize if this is anyones favorite saying...I want to scream when people say "cool beans" OMG I hate that.
 
LOL my niece says that alot and also she says things "rock her socks" which I also think is kinda a weird saying but I see alot of people say that not just her.

The kids around here that wear their pants down far enough to show their boxers. Dude, I so do not want to see your underwear, okay? I want to jerk their pants up.

People who are driving slow and then speed up once you change lanes.

I'm sure I'll think of more.
 
If I were to see just a tiny line of their boxers it does not bother me but Ive seen some of them who wear their pants so low you can see ALLLL of their boxers. Meaning their shorts/pants are down around their knees. It is just stupid looking and I just wanna go buy them a belt and say PULL 'EM UP!!!
