I think I'm in the running for Mother of the Year

Today, instead of sugar cereal, my 3 year old had toast and eggs for breakfast. And the baby had mango, a power fruit ya know, mashed up in his oatmeal.

I spent MAYBE 10 minutes TOTAL on the computer before lunch, and then for lunch, i did NOT feed Jack a PB&J...no, he ate a chicken sandwich (made from the whole chicken I cleaned, gutted and cooked all by myself yesterday) on wholewheat bread with, are you ready...TOMATOES.

I will be back to accept my award shortly after I finish this layout with Amanda and Eva's holy cow wow new kit.

Just felt the need to share the exciting news with you all. :p

ROFL! Congratulations, you hawt mama you, for taking care of your family :D

I should get offa my butt and do a little vacuuming. And later I shall "cook" for the DH (AKA show off my takeout ordering skills)

And I can't wait to play with Amanda and Eva's yummy yummy kit, too! :D

You win!
YOU WIN....

MOM!! OF THE YEAR....All the way from Malaysia...are you ready SSD...
Lets all give her a big round of applause...

MRS. KELLIE FITE-TURNER!!

Oh wow!! That's awesome, Kellie!! I wish Libby would eat a sandwich like that!! And eggs? She refuses to touch them!! LOL!! WOOHOO!! Way to go, mom of the year!!

Did your kids look at you funny Kellie? Mine would! LOL!

Ha ha you are so funny! Not only are you mom of the year...how did you get your child to eat a real chicken sandwich??? That's the better question!

Aww man! I thought I was going to get that award for not crying when I handed off Garrett into the cruel cruel world of Kindergarten. But you definitely have me beat. I think it was the mangoes that put you over the top.

Laurie-my kids (except my son) all hate eggs too!!

well one will eat them boiled i forgot about that..dh doesn't like them either

Congrats Kellie you win!! Ryleigh had fruit loops this am and the other 3 had cocoa krispies lol..that knocks me right out of the race

You win, Kelly! I got DQ'd for this little gem......

**we're in the car, on the way to school**

Cameron (my first-grader): Mom, I'm hungry.
Me: Honey, you just had a nutrigrain bar (he's a light breakfast-eater)
Cam: No I didn't.
Me: Yes, you did. I handed it to you right as we were walking out the door.
Cam: No you didn't.
Me: YES, I did.
Cam: Uh, mom. Connor (his little brother) is eating a bar. Is that my bar? Did you give my bar to Connor?
Me: Whoops.

Yeah, I'm totally fired.

Wait. You mean we're supposed to feed them breakfast?! BOTH of them?!

this thread has really been an eye-opener for me.

Haha yeah I am outta of it too...Kaden just had cheese stick and salami...lol his breakfast of choice...hey it's meat and dairy...HAHA

holy crap, your funny!! way to go. you won...no doubt! my kids would cry sweet tears of joy if i did that. one time i made their lunch into all sorts of tiny appetizers and they nominated me for MOTY...mind you i lost when lena's kids swept in and entered her for those damned adorable bento lunch boxes.

oh ya...and mine totally had a go-gurt on the fly so i'm out of the race.

that's exactly why they make poptarts

hannah had an oatmeal-to-go bar & ainsley still hasn't eaten. she found her leftover milk from earlier and drank that. i about had a heart attack, but then i realized my hubby must have made the bottle before work since the pieces of the bottle didn't match. i never would have done that, even at 2am!

Oh, no...nope, I get MOTY, for sure. I sent the kids to grandma's overnight last night and slept in until 10:30. At least I know they're eating decently there. I'm sure they're having pancakes in the shape of Mickey Mouse heads or soemthing. LOL!

Yes, you def win!! My kids would think it was invasion of the body snatchers or something if I did that. My oldest was sent to eat the school breakfast and my two little ones did the Fruit Loop thing! You need to send some of that motivation my way! I need to get my whole house done too!

Here's what I did, girl, I TOLD HIM, straight up, this is what you're eating for lunch.

THAT'S RIGHT, FOOL. YOU'LL EAT WHAT I TELL YOU TO EAT.

{and then I promised him 2 ice cream balls if he ate the whole thing}

And Jenny...I'm ROLLING. Can't you bust out TWO breakfast bars in the morning?

what?? you are suppose to feed your kids??? Saying there is stuff in the fridge and stuff in the cupboard doesn't work???

My kids are NOT big breakfast eaters... During school time we invest in the pre cooked bacon. They throw 2-3 slices in the micro and hit the road!
