The results of my math exam....

I thought I would take a moment to share with you all the results of the brutal math exam I took nearly a month ago. The test, which would certify me to teach math as a single subject, was very difficult, and I gave it my best shot. It took over three hours.


But I passed that shiz!!!! Woot Woot! I just had to yell it!!! Woot Woot!!
 
woohoo! congrats! I graduated in math education, but I think if I have to teach, I would prefer to do elem instead of just math to stubborn old kids.
 
Lizzy - I do plan on breathing now...maybe I'll actually finish that kit I'm working on, and scrap my last four points...if I can focus

Jamie - I will totally help you out as much as I can.

Sarah - I got certified to teach math 1-6, although I teach 6 now. I thought I wouldn't like teaching 6th, but I love it. And you can't beat teaching only one subject!!

Thanks everyone...I am off to tell my parents...and yes you read that right, I told you guys before my parents, lol.

My DH teaches 4th grade now (this is his 5th year) but he's considering applying for a position at the new middle school in our district for next school year. He says his favorite subject to teach right now is math, and would love to get a job where he can focus on just one subject and 6th grade math is probably his top choice!

Congratulations! And, I hope that it comes with a big fat raise too! We really need more qualified math and science teachers! So. congrats and a big THANK YOU too!

I'm teaching 6th grade Math, LA, and Science. I LOVE IT!!!! My kiddos are sooo low though...it's going to take us forever to get through this program!
 
Oh man, I hear ya...I was looking at some testing of the kids I will have and they are lower than the winner of a limbo contest.

There is no raise, unfortunately, but what this does come with is security. There is such a need for math teachers, that now that I am a certified math teacher, I am pretty much hot property.
