Organizing KICK today! I just rearranged my entire kitchen (moved the small appliances, etc and scrubbed and now I'm contemplating my living room and then the kid's room, my room, etc, etc

It's super fun cause I'm making a list of all the stuff I want as I go (new microwave, toaster, etc!) Also...I'm kind of an organizational nerd. I cant go to walmart/kmart without looking at the home organization stuff (and the school supplies, but that's another OCD kick to go on and on about)....

IKEA is my heaven on earth...

any other nerds like me?

I did my bedroom and bathroom this weekend, it took me literally all day, but it feels amazing! Next is the boys room and then the kitchen!
 
LOL! The boy's room is my own personal HELL. I insist on organizing the toy bins by type of toy (so all the wood blocks in one bin, legos in another, etc) it drives hubby insane and I can't get him to to their room that way cause it'll just get messy again in 2 days....so I'm procrastinating on that one..LOL
 
oh I am totally like that in theory!

in practice . . . I am a cluttered, unorganized mess :thumbdown:

Yup, I'm the same way! I have so many bins and baskets for toys, it's crazy!

I need to do th dreaded clothes clean-out before school starts, ugh! I always end up making such a mess... clothes for goodwill, for storage, for trash. I procrastinate it as long as I can!
 
I am right there with you. My husband and son just left for 10 days. I have dumped everything from my bathroom drawers and cabinets on my bed and I will clean it before I go to bed.

I am going to tackle the garage and sons room before they return. Out with all the old, broken, unused--In with the new, clean and sparkly!!!!!

But will I find time to scrap?:( :( :(
 
HAhaha, Mimi I'm the same way! I Loooooooooooove organizational stuff and organizing, but I hate keeping it that way, lol!
 
I am totally into organization too...I have never been to IKEA, but it's like a lifetime dream to go there...and container store, yeah, that's heaven. Now though, I spend most of my time organizing my files on my computer...tagging, moving, labeling over and over again...oh, and yeah, my classroom, is in a constantly changing state of organization.

I so wish that there was an Ikea closer too me. The nearest one is over an hour away and I can almost never drag my DH there.
 
I organize the boys toys like that too - I have to have it that way or it drives me insane - I'm "too" organized to most people, but that's what keeps me happy :)

I have to have it all organized...I just redid the playroom over the weekend and need to do the clothes clean-out, too. I love containers, LOL! I'm such a nerd...
 
must be in the air Reed! LOL! I NEVER EVER EVER wanna clean <BLAH> but today I did bunch of scrubbin' and organizing! Feels good though! I still have a lot more to do since I only did 1/2 the dining room and the kitchen today but I hope I'm still on this same roll tomorrow!
 
I love to organize .... my work space is really organized. In my review, someone said I was "organized to a fault" ... is there such a thing?? LOL. Anyway, I am like some of the others ... I WANT to be that way at home ... but find the carry-through a bit difficult. This house doesn't have enough storage spaces fro me to do what I want. I don't even have a broom closet ... or a linen closet. It's a nightmare! LOL!!!

So, I'm jealous! I did do a bunch of dishes (supposed to be DH's job), and folded clothes and we picked up the dining/living area ... so it was at least a productive day. But, alas ... no scrapping done today! I need more hours in a day!
 
Oh yeah ... and I heard about IKEA online ... there aren't any around me. I think I'd go out of my mind in an IKEA store though. It'd be torture because I can't afford any of it! LOL!
 
I'm an organizational nerd too! I just did my office. I'm going to do the kids' rooms next week when they go back to school. I can't throw anything away if they are around.

When you have 4 boys and about 1,000,000,000 legos it is hard to keep them together ( I meant the legos) but I manage to at least keep them in a bin. I too am a bin freak, I just wish I could get those little carpet monkeys to put the stuff back in them :(. I actually went as far as separating them into brick sizes once, 2 brickers, 4 brickers and so on. Oh my, I think it took me about 6 hours and that was about 4 years ago!!! Never do that again:blink:
