Ok I'm starting this early because 1) I have to go finish Jordan's birthday dinner, and 2) he picks TONIGHT to go to the movies and see The Dark Knight.

The things we do for those we love :p I'll watch it tomorrow before the results show so I can get my vote in. And if not, tough nuggies for me! Lol!

and.. I dunno... Twitch for runner up.. People like him *shrugs* .. I really can't decide on 2nd place :D :D they're all pretty even for that slot to me.
 
I've just watched Katee & Joshua's Wade routine and man....Joshua looks BEAT-UP! Poor dancers.

Noooo kidding, they were about ready to hit the floor. And I'm sure that they have 2 more dances for tomorrow which they've been practicing all week - no wonder they're all ending up in the hospital...3 routines plus a solo, and likely 2 routines tomorrow. :blink:

Anyone else notice how much Nigel went on and on about how it didn't matter if they were tired, etc?

It wasn't smooth for me at all. The judges' comments afterwards were what made me sick :thumbdown: Wonder if the choreographer's really thought they were spoiled this year lol. Yeah I think Katee and Chelsie are great in the air and Joshua was given way too many lifts/tricks in that disco w/Chelsie...but I think it's going quite far to say that the choreographers were spoiled w/the dancers this year. If anything, I think they have to dumb down their routines. Oh well.

After this season, I respect Simon Cowell soooooooo much.
 
Joshua...untrained??!?! Dude, they showed a photo of him during that interview at the Barre! I doubt he was popping or doing hip-hop there lol. And he was young too.

I didn't like either of the girls or the boys routine. I felt like during the boys' routine that there was a lot of walking. I wonder how Gev and Dom would've done with that. I actually enjoyed the banter the boys had before and after the dance than the actual dance itself. Maybe that week that Thayne got eliminated...they should've eliminated 2 girls. Then they could've had Twitch & Gev do this Russian dance.

ok...back to the show...commercial's over lol

Gah....shut up Nigel! lol. Bleh. I actually enjoyed that Jive better than the Foxtrot. I did think that Josh was also going to drop dead right after dropping Courtney off and before doing that final back flip thingy.

I agree about the boy routine Karen. I think that Joshua is incredible in how high he can get and what not, but there was a lot of walking. The banter before was so funny IMO! Much more entertaining than the routine.

I feel bad for them....they did all look exhausted! :(
 
Honestly I didn't like ANY dance tonight...even the Mia dance which usually are ALWAYS my fav's...I think for a finale dances they need to have awesome ones...I remember the yr with Benji and Heidi and all they had that awesome Sexy Back dance....that's the kind of dance you need for a finale...I was VERY bored tonight...IMHO....
 
Yuck! The costumes in that last group routine.

There isn't anyone that I don't want to win, and there isn't anyone I want to win more than the others (since Mark's not around anymore lol).

I think Joshua's been more challenged than Katee. I think Katee's body is beautiful when she dances, she really throws everything into every limb that she flails out there...but she might not be as big of a 'personality' as Twitch or Josh. I also like Courtney b/c I think that she has had a lot of different routines. I'm really surprised that she's only gotten 1 contemp partner dance this whole season I think...and she's a contemp dancer.

Since I'm disappointed in this year's boys' dance together (and I remember liking last year's boy's dance...though that was Danny vs. Neil :) ), I wish they didn't choreograph it. It should've been a freestyle dance battle! Like the dance battle they are supposed to have between Philip (?) and somebody tomorrow night. That would've been amazing if they let the guys have their own go at that.

I hated feeling exhausted after seeing them dance. Dance shouldn't be that way. At least I don't want to watch that type of dance. I don't want it to feel labored and heavy and exhausting. I want it to take my breath away and seem effortless.

Maybe next year they should have an extra week before the finale...yeah, there's no way they are going to do that. But really...I want to see the dancers at their strongest...why they are there. And especially because they are learning 3 partner routines. Or even if it wasn't an extra week...but a Saturday show and Sunday Finale. Yeah...I'm liking that even though it falls on a weekend. But geez, Survivor has their 3-hour finale (I count the hour w/the entire cast at the end) on Sundays...even the boring part where the final 4 or whatever have to recap each cast-off (I HATE that part lol).
 
yeh I wasn't really too thrilled with tonights show either.. but I didnt' want to say anything cause I knew I was going to get "well that's cause marky wasn't there" :p no. I watched it, I took notes, just like every other night :p lol

I thought everything was mediocre... I didn't LOVE any of the routines, I thought the girl girl routine really showed courtney's weaknesses as a dancer, and I Thought the boy boy routine was just odd and lame, it could have been a LOT better. I understand that they're tired and what not, but it just wasn't as good as I anticipated. LAST week was AMAZING- this week meh.

Anyway.. I actually wrote like 500 times that courtney needs more training :D I loved her last week, and that was the first time I did--but tonight she reminded me why I wasn't excited about her getting to the final 4. She doesn't follow through with extensions, she's clunky half the time, and I dunno what I meant but I wrote she was too wiggly during the hip hop. I think she's a jazz dancer btw.. Which I finally had an *aaaaaaaaaaaah* that's why moment when they said that --- about her clunkiness (them saying she's jazz .. aah = understanding the clunkiness).

Boys.. overall.. I wasn't impressed-- Noted by my

face about the foxtrot .. well.. yeh.. Not a stinkin foxtrot by far but whatever, there's been enough of that this season that it's not entirely unexpected I guess...

oh yeah, I do hope that either Joshua and Twitch win so that Nigel gets his "untrained" hip-hop SYTYCD winner b/c I don't want to put up with another season like this. And both Josh and Twitch are amazing and are great entertainers and I don't know if they will find someone like them in future seasons if Nigel wants to push for something like this again.
 
we had a freaking storm today and tornado watch so my directv lost it's signal through the first hour and 45 mins. dd was annoyed!
 
I'm just bummed about the whole thing because i was really hoping for some super awesome routines that gave me goosebumps and stuff. I kinda thought it was a let down. :( And it's one thing i look forward to watching every week.....so sad!
 
I haven't even had a chance to watch last night's show yet but figure I better go ahead and get my picks in! I'll just go with my favorites of the ones that are left!

Man you guys were right. That was a somewhat disappointing show.

I'm gonna go with
1) Twitch (I don't think he'll win, but I love him too much to not pick him :p)
2) Katee
3) Joshua
4) Courtney (love her, but she's the weakest of the 4, lol)
 
Aww man, I missed it!! Well, if I would have voted...I would say Josh #1 and Katee would come in 2nd. I really think people LOVED Josh and Twitch!
