MAKEUP - Love/Hate..Dish/Review

Hey Bean,

Did you find anything you just love? Update us.

Not yet girl..I have been debating this issue for a while!! I was testing out the Everyday Minerals or w/e the hell it was, and it just caused so many breakouts for me. SOOO..I am nervous to try something that's not a well-known brand. I'll update you guys though!

I love love love the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, can't live without it. Also, I can't say enough about MAC... I have their powder foundation that I never leave the house without it. I even put it on almost immediately after my c-section, I couldn't stand thinking... omg, am I shiny???

I'm a makeup whor-... der... err... horder, too... and I love MAC. The primer is worth the cash, though, go get it.

I only wear make up in photos. It's PSE brand and comes in just about any color imaginable...lasts forever and comes off in a snap too

OMG! HILARIOUS!!! I don't wear make up much but if I have to I use the minerals since it is the only one that won't do more damage to my rosacea.

I too am on the find for the perfect makeup Manda! Let me know what works great in this nasty GA humidity!!! It's horrible!
Where are you at in GA?

I swear by Physican's Formula and since I've moved close to Mall of Ga, I love Sephora to! Used to be too far away to shop them lol I LOVE them..I don't wear makeup much though

She's like an hour north of me Deb (I'm in Buford..U in ga?)

Cool! Some of DH's family lives in Buford! Yep, I'm in GA! :) I'm about 45 South of Atlanta in High Falls (Jackson)!

Oooooohhh what an interesting thread!

I'm an Arbonne girl, so I wear the Mineral Powder foundation and LOVE it! It's easy to put on, doesn't rub or wear off, the shades are perfect for all different skin types and colors and my forehead doesn't shine when it's really hot outside!

I also use Arbonne's bronzer for my cheeks...and sometimes on my arms and legs.

I just use Maybelline eye shadow and mascara when I'm feelin' like dressing up a little! LOL
Oh and I use their Color Stay lip color too and love, love, love it!!

Okay so I'm just seeing this now that it got bumped, but I just had to share! I switched to Bare Minerals last fall and have loved it ever since. I have super fair (as you can see from my photo), sensitive, breakout-prone skin, so it was a godsend! I really love that you can put as little or as much on as you want. The only thing I would recommend is NOT using their brushes. Total crap and they irritated my skin too. I really love using Too Faced's retractable kabuki brush.

Instead of Photo Finish (which I really didn't like), I use Cosmedicine's Medi Matte on hot days. It's not cheap, but a little dab will do ya, and it works like a charm. You can feel it right away, and no problems with putting on makeup afterwards.

With my oiliness and bad skin, I've been carrying Neutrogena's oil blotters in my purse since forever, I highly recommend them! :D

I'm a total MAC girl myself. Everything except my mascara which is L'oreal. I say you drag your bum into the dept. store and stock up on freebies, lol. ;)

BTW, what's the connection between tacos and tatas? (hopefully I'm not asking an obvious question -- it wouldn't be the first time, lol) I smile everytime I see that! .... that and your avi puts a smile on my face too :)

I have been using Bare Minerals for a few months now and I love it. I used it at the beach this past week and it worked great. I also live where it gets very humid during the summer. You can't feel it on your face, but you can see what it does. It is expensive, but you only need a little every day, so I think it is well worth it!!! I'll have to do a before and after layout, :)

I've been using the L'Oreal Bare Minerals line for a few months now and love it--I've wanted to wear makeup daily for a long time, but until now I never stuck with it because I couldn't find something that looked and felt natural on my skin. It's worked pretty well in heat and humidity, but I tend not to sweat too much. It sounds like you've tried and liked it, but that you go through it too quickly and that's one of the reasons you're looking to change. No good advice for that, but I think there are places that have it cheaper than $15 if you look around.
