I am trying to put together a scrapbook for my grandparents. I have been working on this for FOUR months now. I am about to pull my hair out over my technology-challenged family!!!! :cursing: I have explained SEVERAL times: please scan in photos at 300 ppi, attach the photos to your email as a FILE and not a picture because hotmail compresses the image.... blah blah blah. One aunt wouldn't send me any pics because she said she already made a scrapbook for my grandparents. Well, it's not a scrapbook. It's a photo album with pics slipped into sleeves. One of my uncles doean't even own a digital camera and doesn't have access to a scanner (how do these people live?!?!). My brother is in South America on a church mission and I am trying to get a photo from his fiancee. She sent me a 10 kb (YES, KB!!) pictures. ARGH! I'm going to choke someone!

So, I'm going to finish this scrapbook anyways despite the fact that only a fourth of the grandkids are in it. I'm sooo frustrated and just had to vent.

awww sorry Megan!

you can try to blow up your bro's fiance's pics with alienskin blow up? They offer a free trial

good luck!

Oh I'm so sorry. This is why I haven't attempted any of these kinds of things. Good luck, I hope it gets better or what you have will be just fine anyway!

I remember the issue with the aunt's "scrapbook" previously... I can't believe you're still putting up with this mess!

Here's what I did with all of my technologicallyetarded kin... I sent them a self-addressed stamped envelope for them to put pics in and promised to scan them and put them right back in the mail on the way back to them. It was the only way I could get what I wanted.

OH hahaha! I haven't posted about this before... there must have been another poor soul fighting with her aunt to get some pics! Hehehe!

And that is a good idea about getting pics. The problem is I didn't own a scanner when I started this. I've only had one for a month now. Good advice for the future! Thanks! I just can't wait on people anymore because my grandma has been REALLY ill the past year and I feel the urgent need to get this done. I don't think she'll be around much longer. :(

i'm so sorry! yeah that's super stressful--actually any project that relies on other people's contributions is bound to be stressful, much more involving those who are "technology-challenged" :( I work for a magazine, and you can't believe how many people would send us product images that are so lowes, or images that are obviously pulled from the web. **hugs** to you!

How frustrating. I swear people can just be stupid sometimes. And to not send you pics because she "already made them one" that is just retarted. What is she afraid they'll like yours better?
