Then my hubby came home with bad news, he needs to find a new job or a second job as his job has been downsized...1 week after we signed papers for a loan for a new car :unsure:

The first 2 had me laughing, but #3 we can really do without.
 
ugh i'm sorry! Hugs! Hopefully he'll find something soon and everything will be a smooth transition
 
Hugs!! Hopefully all the yuck is just isolated to today... and tomorrow will be awesome! Good luck to hubby on the job hunt, I pray he can find something he likes quickly!
 
It's such a big blow because he's got a really great job. Went from 20 years on shift work (alternate day & night shift weekly) to a 7am-3.30pm job. It's been so good too, time with the kids after school. Not much chance of getting another with great hours. Wish it happened last week at least before we signed paperwork on the car lol. After today I think I need a lottery ticket! Lol.
 
oh hugs Megs, that is just awful :( Any one of those events would be bad, but all three at once... I'm so sorry. Hope something wonderful comes along for your hubby.
 
Oh gosh!! I'm sorry - what a bad bad day! Fingers crossed that something amazing comes along for your husband and wishing you a happier day today (whenever "today" is for you - or uh...tonight? I'm a doofus with time zones!).
 
Oh I am sorry to hear this - hoping your dh finds something. Just a quick tip I got from a computer repair place when my dd's phone cracked - he told us to put packing tape (that clear kind) on the surface of the phone to keep the chips from cracking more or cutting you until you can get it repaired. I would think a a screen protector would do the same.
 
Thanks girls. He'll find out his new weekly pay today. Gingers crossed it's not as bad as expected.
 
Thanks everyone for your positive thoughts. It's turned out much better than expected. His boss quit over the changes, so his hours have only been cut by a few per week now and money wise his pay cut is next to nothing like first thought. Better still, he gets a work car! (Wish this all happened BEFORE we signed up for a new one). So we are breathing huge sighs of relief!!
 
Ugh, I'm so sorry! I feel like that kind of stuff comes in waves for me too :( Things will get better, hang in there {hugs}

This is such WONDERFUL news! I'm so happy for you guys! Man, it stinks about signing for your new car. Maybe you could sell your first one? Hmm. But then again, you never know if the company car might disappear on you... LOL!
