i squirted blood across a room today.. what did you do?

im really grossed out by blood...and today was quite the adventure. i sliced up my hand pretty badly while doing the dishes this afternoon. ordinarily i don't think i'd panic but amazingly this was my first major injury since starting the blood thinners a couple of years ago- so i def freaked a bit :p all their warnings about bleeding to death came rushing back in an instant :p but connor (aka thebest kid ever ) and i reacted immediately and appropriately. intense pressure applied by me and the kid called the bf and demanded he come home immediately (hah that part was a little funny) then he dialed to call my mom too.

i am now sporting 10 stitches and a bit of ouch :p but i will be fine. i dont ever want to see that much blood again though :p the people waiting in the er were a bit pissed that i essentially cut them off but i'm pretty sure shooting blood across the room trumps a sprained ankle :p i would show you the beautiful stitch work but my hand is wrapped in gauze right now :p im sure it will be super sexxy and black & blue tomorrow :p

Ahhh man! That's makes me cringe! I'm so glad that Ce jumped to action and everything turned out well.

On the other hand...awesome that this is the first time such a thing has happened in that long of being on the thinners!
 
im really amazed.. lol im a bit accident prone lol. connor got a bit freaked while we were waiting for help to arrive and started washing the blood off the floor... i was a bit startled lol in a good way i guess, just not how id imagine a tenyear old reacting lol. hes a great boy
 
Yes, seeing lots of blood on the floor is quite the site. That's amazing he handled it so well. My husband had to deal with that last Spring with me and another time too, and he handles it cause he has to, but still doesn't really like it.
 
Damn La! Give Ce some extra loving and a high five ( with your good hand ;) ) There is no contest to win, quit hurting yourself!
 
Heal quickly! Sounds like Connor has a future in medicine. (I do not...I thank your gauze for being in the way, LOL.)
 
Oh my!! So glad you guys acted fast! What did you cut it with? And where? Hopefully it's your non dominate hand!
 
Glad to hear that you are ok. And super hero points to your son. Sounds like he was a real help when you needed him. You must be so proud.
 
Oh no! Lucky you had your son there to help you, he sounds like a great kid! And yeah, I want to see the stiches as well. ;)
 
oh my gosh La! That must have been scary! Yay for Ce's being level headed! And dang girl, 10 stitches just on the top of your finger? That's a lot of stitches for a little area, are you sure you didn't cut the whole thing off?!
