So, what did Santa bring you?

Sweet Shoppe SugarBabe
We spoiled each other this year. Probably the most we've bought each other since before we got married.

I got a 50 mm 1.4 lens
Silloutte portrait
Bead for my bracelet, not pandora, but that type
Garth brooks box set
2 CDs
My favorite, a origami owl type necklace.
New oven mits, measuring cups & a cheese grater.

The kids got me a scarf & socks.

We never spend this much on each other, but I had a great fall for my photography. And the hubby wanted a ps4, so we boosted the budget.

I got some great gifts. My parents, siblings and grandparents gave me an aromatherapy diffuser, blanket, an outdoor spinner thing, a 31 bag, money, a Hunger Games inspired necklace and gift cards. Nicholas gave me a skull wearing a bow necklace and a gift card to Olive Garden because he wanted to be able to take mommy out for noodles. I loved it all.

This year Brian and I decided to just pick out our own gifts. I got project life goodies and he got new floormats and a spray in bedliner for his truck..and pretty much got an Xbox One too. I think I got shorted lol

My hubby really spoiled me this year... iPad Air (some how he found a great deal and got himself one, too! :D); updated iPod - wanted one for just Christmas music; Nap blanket and socks - I wanted one in gray; Snoopy coffee mug; and a Coach purse that I bought myself during Black Friday... which was 80% off... score!

We don't exchange gifts with the rest of the family... but DH's aunt gave me Coach perfume and my step MIL gave me some fancy tea.

It was a great Christmas!

My family knows me so well! I received four Pandora beads for my bracelet, a really soft throw blanket (I had previously bought two for myself at different times - and both were "stolen" by my kiddos, haha! Now I have one of my own!), iTunes gift certificate, Winners/Homesense gift certificate, Laura clothing gift certificate, candles and candle holders, a framed floral/heart print, a beautiful bird's nest necklace I'd been eyeing on Etsy, and lots and lots of socks (my annual request!).

I hope you all had a great Christmas!

More cash from Joel's grandpa.

My class was AMAZING to me this year- lots of gift cards & chocolate!!

My husband got me a Cameo, my youngest daughter got me new wiper blades for my SUV (she wanted us to be safe in the rain - god bless her!), my oldest daughter got me padded lens bags to store my extra lenses in. My in-laws gave us money and I got a really nice wallet, my SIL gave me the Naked Eye shadow pallet (totally floored me!), my parents got me a large Vera Bradley duffel and a $50 gc to Charming Charlie, plus some party things (ice buckets, wine glasses for the patio by the pool) plus I got a bottle of Grey Goose and new shaker in the Yankee Swap. It was a pretty nice Christmas!

After a few sparse Christmases, we did more for this year for ourselves. DH got me the Kindle Fire HD (OK, I ordered that myself ;) ), bluetooth speakers, and then he has really been paying attention to comments and things over the past few months: external battery for my phone, a handheld luggage scale, K-State Wildcat goodies-fuzzy socks, shot glasses, mug, pillow, and a freezer pilsner glass.

We don't exchange with anyone else, but got cash from my mom. :)

Oh yeah, I also got some hard-to-find ammo for my hundred year old pistol. :)

Our anniversary is the 23 and I got a surround sound for our tv. It also turns our tv into a "smart tv" so I can watch Amazon streaming and Netflix on it now with dealing with the Wii.

For Christmas I got a new ring and necklace from James Avery. Christmas with my family will be next weekend and my mom and I just started a new tradition where we each get each other a new charm. I can't wait to see what I get!

Santa brought a waterproof camera for our upcoming cruise and a nice camera backpack. I also got cash that I used for the sale here :-) But my favorite was this, painted by my mom. I had bought the greenwear back in 2010 and got as far a cleaning it up and firing it then got pregnant and just never got around to painting it. It means a million times more now though!

We only ever exchange small gifts, the focus is always on the kids. This year I got a tripod, a wallet and some scented candles. I'm having a great time playing with DD's furby boom though :p

My sweet boyfriend heard me talk about wanting to start the tradition of doing "something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to wear" with Zach, and decided that it would be the perfect gift for me-- so he gifted me with a Sweet Shoppe gift card for the Nettio Retirement sale (something I wanted), a date with him ANYWHERE with no expiration (something I needed), a warm cozy blanket from my favorite sports team, Sporting KC (something to wear-- he was going to go with sweatpants, but thought the blanket was cozier), and a Kindle gift card so I could splurge on some non-free books (something to read). Perfect gift! He also got my family a metalwork sign of Sporting KC since his brother owns a metal works art company.

My parents got me a flatscreen TV because my old TV (from before flat screens were a "thing," probably at least 15 years old), a mounting system for it, and a great shelf for my peripherals. Perfect gift!

My grandmother got me some funds to buy my plane ticket for BlogHer '14, a carryon suitcase for all of the blog travel I've been doing and will continue to do.

My boyfriend's parents were super sweet and got me a candle and a really beautiful scarf.

We didn't really do much this year. I got a little bracelet from my son, a scarf from my daughter and candy from my husband. Once we are out of debt (we are Gazelle Intense on Dave Ramsey's plan!) then we'll celebrate. ;)
