CS3 vs CC

So I went ahead and got the photographer's special that adobe was offering. I had upgraded to CS5 a couple years ago, and switched computers and never could locate my install disc, so i've been using CS3 for years.

What new things do I need to know? What tutorials should I check out. And is there anyway to make things open like they did in CS3, instead of going in a line in the screen, if that makes sense.

under preferences you can turn off opening in tabs, that just opens things in the window.

yep. you can also change the background color there too. I have mine set to black which I love, but I know some people prefer the light backgrounds.

is there a way to turn off the stacking in the ps icon at the bottom of the screen? Like when I get ready to drag something from bridge or ACDSee I have multiple screens show up for each time that is opened in photoshop.

I don't think so, that is more a windows 7 thing than anything. I had that happen as soon as I went from Vista to Win7. It does that with anything you have open if you notice, like windows explorer
