Hey! False Amazon account update email going around! (I know because I just got one.
) It says:
"Greetings from Amazon.com.
Dear customer,
Thank you for being our customer and we're happy to serve you.
If you have received this email this means that your account needs to be updated.
Please click on the link below and follow the steps to update your account."
Followed by a "Here to update" box with link.
THIS IS NOT FROM AMAZON. On Amazon's website they say this on how to tell if an email is actually from them:
"Provide instructions on how to verify account information through the Amazon.com website.
We'll never prompt you to verify account information through a link in the e-mail."
So yeah. Don't pay attention to that email. Spam it.
