Anyone want to see my newest vacation photobook?

I always share when I finish a big project because I'm nosy and like looking at other people's finished projects. lol. Anyway, Colby and I took a cruise in February and I finally finished scrapping it and got it ordered today. I usually use Shutterfly, but decided to go with Blurb this time to see if I liked the quality more.

It's a 12x12 with lustre premium paper. Think it's around sixty pages? Anyway, with a 20% off coupon it only cost $75 which is usually what the Shutterflys run when they have their 40% off deal.

I really like the blurb program that you download and use off your computer. It's super easy to plop the pages into and quite motivating to see the progress whenever you add another page.

wow - you have some of the most fantastic vacation layouts!! I love you use so many kits and different style of layouts and it all comes together perfectly!

I think this is how I am able to finish them. I switch it up frequently or I'd be totally bored by the end. I'm actually kinda sad (but also excited) that it's all scrapped. I have so much fun putting the books together and my next vacation is still 131 days away! lol.
 
Looks awesome! Makes me tired just thinking about how many hours went into putting it together, lol

Oh my gosh, what an amazing treasure that book is! It's almost like getting to experience it myself. Almost. ;) Now I want to cruise away to somewhere exotic!!!! :wub:

I loved the program too, really easy to work with. I just finished my first book with them, and received it yesterday and I was very impressed with the quality, so I'm sure you will be too :)
 
How fun! Thank you for sharing it with us. We just booked our first cruise for this January and I am so excited. I have never done a winter vacation and it's my first time visiting another country (other than Canada which I live quite near to).
 
Gorgeous book! I love the mix of kits and varied page designs. I've been using Shutterfly and Adorama depending where I have a coupon for, so I'm interested to hear how you like the Blurb book. Now I want to get started on my next vacation album, but I WILL catch up on Project Life first.
 
This is fantastic! I especially liked seeing your Roatán pics because we want to take a cruise there, too. We've been to Belize and loved the ruins. We will be on the Legend very soon, so I'm totally stealing your page idea about the towel animals. I have no idea why I've never thought of making a page about them.

The Dream is a larger ship than we've been on. Did you you enjoy the size of the ship? Any downsides besides all the people? hehe

We've only been on the Dream and Magic but loved them both. There can be lines sometimes (like the buffet at lunch) but it's really not too bad. We always get a spa pass and go relax there when we get tired of the people. :)
 
Great book! I love how the side by side pages match up. I've always used Shutterfly so I'm curious to hear how Blurb compares.

this is a beautiful book! My fave pages were the ones of the sunset...your layering and momentos on there are amazing. All your photos are so pretty! I agree also..the diff kits all go together so well!

Speaking of Roatan...my parent vacation every year and this is their favorite place BY FAR! They've gone back several times and have even considered buying property.

I, too, am interested to hear when you get your book from Blurb. I just had one printed at Shutterfly, and I've used them in the past, but I felt like the skin tones were off. I need two more of the same book, so I just ordered one from Persnekity to see if it's any different. Depending on what it looks like, I might just try Blurb for my 3rd one.
 
WOW! You did an amazing job scrapping an entire vacation!! I've never been able to come close to anything like this! And thanks for sharing your experiences with both companies . . . I've only used Blurb and I really loved the quality, but I wasn't sure if I should try Shutterfly
