Project Life AND Week in the Life

I'm using Lynnette's WITL templates for my PL and WITL and will be doing just one photo for each day with a summary and referring to WITL album for more.

The way I've done it in the past is that my Week in the Life is more time driven and I document everything... what time we got up, what we ate for meals, what we wore, what did we get in the mail, what way did we drive to the YMCA and time of our classes, what books am I reading, what did we watch on netflix, what time we went to bed, etc... where my project life is pretty much a summary ... we taught fractions in school today, Daddy had a meeting on his app with management... :)

well when I did AWIYL, I didn't do PL for that week asnd just incorporated my AWIYL pages in to muy PL album...did that make any sense lol!~

I'd just treat my PL as kind of a highlights from my WITL. So I'd include my fave photos/stories and maybe any memorabilia I want to keep since I won't be including that in my WITL photo book. I don't like to make extra work for myself though so it wouldn't bother me one bit to have the same stories and photos in multiple places. I know that would drive some people crazy, haha.

I don't. For awhile, I was envious and in awe of PL. I'd start and stop and start again.

Then I realized between AWITL, December Daily, my vacation album, my summer album I did this year, and the layouts I do throughout the year printed in a chronological, but random, album.... I'm covering most of the details! So, I've decided no PL for me, at least not this year.

Oh gosh, guess I need to decide if I'm doing AWITL right this minute. ha,ha

I gave up on PL life, It felt like it was the same thing over and over each week (even though I know it's not). I prefer to just do mini albums.

However, if I was doing PL and AWITL I think I'd keep PL really simply (like Ali did for her Paris trip) large 12 x 12 prints cut to fit the dividers. And then I'd do a detailed AWITL book with Traci or Lynnette's templates.

Lynnette - LOVE your templates!! I think I'm going to give this year a shot! I'll probably do the highlights from the week for my PL since it's more of a review album for me - (I'm more monthly than weekly) and then use Lynnette's templates for the week!! Charging my camera now!!! :)

I'm not doing a traditional PL, and taking more of a LOM approach. For AWITL I'm using Lynette's temps from last year and focus on one topic for each LO.

You don't. :)

I did AWITL in April, and I did not do PL that week. I don't do PL during December Daily, either.

I might be amazing, but I'm not THAT amazing. ;)

I'm planning to use Lynnette's templates for it too. I want to keep them (PL and Week in the Life) separate because I'm hoping to put the Week in it's own book for the kids to be able to look at now as a finished thing. I like the idea of just do really big highlights for the week in the PL.

Trish, when I first read your question, I immediately thought you were referring to time and juggling everything. I have to say, I am constantly amazed at all the mommies out there that do such a great job documenting everything. Seriously wow . . . the bf and I just killed our cactus which was pretty much the litmus test for if we were ready for a dog.

I don't scrap chronologically, so I really hope I buckle down and finish AWITL (using Lynette's templates). My digi project life jumps around from week to week and I'm like 25-30 weeks behind, but I don't really sweat it :). When/if I include next week in my PL album, it would just be highlights cause I'll probably be looking back from 2014!!

for me, WITL us everything... PL is just a summary of the week... I take a lot more pictures of our routines and activities that I usually don't take on a normal week

Bahahaha, Adam's been wanting to get a dog for years and I've held off because it seems like such a big commitment. But I have managed to keep my succulents alive for over a year now so maybe I'm finally ready? :D I can tell you the key is lots of light and basically ignore them until they look a little droopy/wrinkly and add a tiny bit of water.

Okay- I think I'm going to do it. I'm really struggling to decide this year. Last year, I was working and out of the house for at least eight hours. I'm afraid that my sleeping in and afternoon naps will make me look like a sloth this year! Haha.

Totes. You're like crazy organized and and seem good at routines. I think we (Ray) watered cactey too much (everyday). Anyway I told Ray not to but he wasn't listening or maybe i forgot to tell him. We're not ready for a dog. Yet. I'm gonna get another succulent, definitely read that little plastic thing with directions, and be a more active partner in its rearing...thanks for the watering tip :)
