Does your spell checker disregard 'journaling' as a real word?

It irritates me to no end. IS 'journaling' a real word?

Yep....every time I use that word in a gallery I get that squiggly red line. LOL!

Per dictionary.com, Websters online dictionary, and the online Oxford dictionary, "journaling" is not a word. Dictionary.com did, however, suggest the word journalising.

I agree! If you sit down with a journal, and begin writing in it, you're journaling!

LOL! I did for awhile too. Maybe it's a special word to be used by a handful of people.

I found it in Oxford Dictionaries. And I thought we were just making it up.

My spellchecker says "scrapbooking" is not a word.

It *IS* a word but just not recognized by the spell checkers because it's not an oft-used word. Spell check also wants to break up many words like homeschool or scrapbook because the single words are used so much more.
