... because *I* fed giraffes!!!

And I was in heaven! Feeding them was the best thing ever! I may need to upgrade my llama love to giraffe love.

I also had a big giraffe-crush after feeding them... the zoo by my in-laws has a feeding platform. We've done it twice. I'll have to dig up a pic to share with you. ;)

awww... such a totally adorable photo ♥ and so fun! it's a wonderful thing to experience. we're super lucky that our local zoo offers this activity daily... and the feeding station looks exactly like the one in your photo. hmmm. you weren't at Riverbanks, were you? ;)
 
Isn't it the best? That's a great pic of you.

My avi is actually a selfie of me feeding a giraffe. In one hand I had a piece of sweet potato and in the other my camera. I snapped away and ended up with a gorgeous picture of a giraffe and there wasn't much of me in the pic. It was a big step out of my comfort zone and a great experience. I feel the same way about giraffes now.

We were at Riverbanks!! It was so fun. Great day trip from Charlotte!
 
so awesome! looks like you had fun.

today.. i went and picked up my engagement ring from the jeweler. i had it resized, cleaned, and rhodium dipped. it looks good as new, and i no longer have a naked ring finger. aside from that, it was a lazy day (hubby to be is sick).

very uneventful.
 
What an awesome experience!!! I'm jealous.

I went to work and then went in for an MRI with contrast and a cortisone injection in my shoulder. Sigh.
 
today I have been wrapped up in a blanket (cause I am freezing - its 13 degrees celcius but im not at home at the moment so it seems colder here) working on week 7 of PL and possibly more if this mojo sticks around

I DID get to feed a baby monkey once when I was little and got to go behind the scenes at a zoo <3

We went to the beach today :)

My day was frustrating. DS2 was having a bad day, which means I had one, too dealing with his meltdowns and not listening. I ran to 5 different stores looking for a particular size of wedding photo album that I need for something we bridesmaids are putting together for a shower, and I couldn't find it. (One store I went to used to have a whole shelving unit full of photo albums; now they don't carry any. I guess that's the practical implication of people not printing many digital photos. All the stores had a lot fewer albums than they did last time I did something like this.) Then I discovered my computer has developed yet another problem, so I'm going to have to take it in and see if it's worth repairing. I'm hesitant to spend much money on it, since it's getting old and having more frequent problems. I was planning to replace it in the spring so luckily it isn't a big problem to do it now instead, but it seems like there's one thing after another keeping me from scrapping lately.
 
Yeah for you, Robin! Laura (wilson) and I had a chance to do that for the first time this summer too! It was AWESOME! I love your picture of it. You are so gorgeous!

Next on the list, whale sharks at the Georgia Aquarium!

Giraffes are the best! Llamas are pretty awesome, though, too. I have bath towels with a llama embroidered on them :D

Oh I love giraffes!!! That's so fun Robin, I did that as a kid, it was awesome. ( I agree with the others you're adorable )

That is so cool!!! We did that at Riverbanks, too when we lived in GA! :D lol, it was so awesome - I'm glad you went, such a cool thing to do.

Today we went to a little beach where people have been seeing a lot of starfish at low tide. :( Unfortunately we didn't see any, but we saw tons of supercute little crabs!
